What’s In My Makeup Bag: March

Today I’m breaking down the items in my makeup bag I’m loving. Each month I post the new additions to my makeup arsenal and the ones that I just can’t seem to give up. If you want to see January’s post you can do so here or Feburary’s post here. Of course this isn’t everything I use for my face so if you’re interested in a complete breakdown of my favorite items by product check out this page. For now let’s dive right into my new makeup loves and learn what they are, how I use them, which ones I think are worth the money & which ones I will definitely buy again.

Makeup, March, Spring Makeup, Beauty, Beauty Routine

Hoola Bronzer – The perfect hue of bronzer for contouring! This is the mini size from Sephora which is more than enough to try it out for a bit.

Kat Von D Lock-It Powder – I use this to set my under-eye concealer! It’s really thick so you only need a tiny bit. It will set your concealer so smooth and pretty!

Sigma Brushes – The first fancy brushes I’ve ever owned and so far I think they are worth it! I bought a kit to save some $$$.

Tarte Shape Tape – The best concealer you will ever buy. I wear code “light”. It never goes on sale so go ahead and just pull the trigger and thank me when you’re obsessed.

L’Oreal Double Sided Mascara – My favorite mascara. Bonus, you can get it at the drug store!

L’Oreal Lash Primer – This is the same primer that is in the mascara above but I keep it in my makeup bag for when I use other mascaras. Apply a coat, let it dry a little and then put on your mascara. Huge difference!

Charlotte Tilbury Lipliner – Color is “pillow talk” and it’s a beautiful natural mauve. It’s called a “lip cheat” because the shade is perfect for relining and over-lining your lips.

Eyeshadow Palette – I’m quickly becoming a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury. I have worn this palette repeatedly since purchasing.

Hourglass Lipstick – Confession. I bought this because it looked cool. But it applies pretty and stays on for a long time. I have it in color “I want.”

Urban Decay Lipstick – This lipstick is so good! The color I’m using is “back talk.”

Nars Foundation – Ok so I don’t love this. I’ve been using it hoping I would love it but I feel like it settles into my creases and makes me dry, even with a good primer! I have gone back to my Make Up For Ever foundation.

Anastasia Brow Wiz – I haven’t found a better eyebrow pencil out there. The color taupe is perfect if you have light brown to blonde hair!

Maybelline White Liner  – Use this in your lash line and the inside corner of your eyes to brighten your eyes and open them up!

Too Faced Powder  – This blurring powder is a replacement for my Laura Mercier powder and I definitely like the Laura Mercier better. Next up I want to try this one by Becca.

Charlotte Tilbury Light Wand – My favorite addition to my makeup arsenal! You dab this wand on your cheek bones, down the center of your nose and even on your cupid’s bow (the top of your lips) and it gives you the prettiest glow.

Becca Blush – I love this blush in “flower child”. It’s a rosy coral color that I think can match a variety of skin tones.

Tatcha Primer – Ok so this stuff is essentially magic in a container. You just need to click here and read all about it because it’s legit.

Laura Geller Illuminator – I’ve been using this in the corner of my eyes at night and I love it! You can also use in place of the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wand.

I LOVE your blog! I found it in such a random way and am so grateful. I was Googling “Bobbi Brown bridal” for an old look I’d liked on their website and found your wedding makeup — all of which I owned! I also own a lot of makeup you share, but am loving and have bought a lot of “new” (to me) products from your blog. All winners. If you’re a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury’s, you’ll love her ‘Filmstar Bronze & Glow’ Face Sculpt & Highlight. It’s beautiful. Would love to see a tutorial on the palette you featured in your blog. Oh, and B.I.T.C.H. Perfect & Penelope Pink are great lipsticks by her, too. (Judging by the Bare Minerals colors you’ve shared). Thanks for such a great blog!!
