What’s In My Beauty Bag: August

It’s officially time for this month’s edition of What’s In My Beauty Bag! This has been a great month for beauty finds, to say the least. Between the Sephora Summer Bonus Event & the Dermstore Anniversary Sale last week, I think it’s safe to say I’m well stocked in the beauty department, and if there was an apocalypse, I could still manage to look pretty for at least 6-8 months.

This month, I stuck to several of my long term favorites like my Brow Wiz pencil by Anastasia, this setting powder by Becca, my Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara, Charlotte Tilbury Highlighter Wand, and of course the tried & true IT Cosmetics CC Cream. I DID branch out, however, by trying this foundation (that may be my new all time favorite), this Olaplex shampoo + conditioner combo, this amazing hydrating mask by Summer Fridays, and these tanning drops that I mix with my moisturizer at night. Needless to say, August was a great month for beauty, so I hope you find something new & fun to try in the list below!

What's In My Beauty Bag: August

Makeup

Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer // I use this primer for special occasions and love how it creates a silky smooth canvas for makeup!

IT Cosmetics CC Cream // Always a crowd favorite. I apply this stuff with my fingers for everyday wear! Love that it has SPF built into it and that it’s packed full of antioxidants.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation // The best. I think this is my new foundation. It’s lightweight and buildable and is great for everyday!

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer // This and the NARS concealer are my favorites. Both are pretty full coverage, so just remember a little goes a long way!

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Highlighter Wand // I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it until they discontinue this product. You need one of these in your beauty bag!

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder // Love this stuff. It’s a great setting powder that doesn’t dry you out and actually keeps skin hydrated throughout the day!

Becca Hydra-Mist Powder // My very favorite setting powder for every day use. It’s translucent, and makes your pores disappear!

Laura Mercier Setting Powder // This powder wins “best all around” every time. You can’t go wrong with this stuff!

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Powder // I like this powder, but it does have some color to it, & I think makes me look a little washed out. I would only use this to set a more glam, full faced makeup look.

Huda Beauty Highlighter Palette // So pretty. Comes with really detailed instructions on how to use the different shades included!

Charlotte Tilbury Blush // I use color “love glow”! Put the outer color on your cheekbone, and put the middle color on the apples of your cheeks for a youthful glow.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Palette // The pigment in these shadows is awesome. This palette is small, but mighty and will last you forever!

Tarte In Bloom Palette // This has been my favorite for as long as I can remember, and always tops my reader favorites lists! Has a great mix of matte shades and shimmery ones.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette // Personally I love this palette, but if you don’t love sparkles, this probably isn’t the one for you! It’s a great daytime palette, but most of the shades have some shimmer to them, so if you’re a matte shadow lover I’d stick to the In Bloom palette.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara // I typically stick to drugstore mascaras, but if I’m purchasing a higher end one, this is always my go-to!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz // Always always always in my arsenal. I wear shade “taupe!”

Skincare

Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector // Acts as a really great base for concealer! It also brightens and conceals dark circles.

Tatcha Luminous Hydration Lifting Mask // Kim Kardashian uses this mask, and if it’s good enough for her, it’s good enough for me.

Peace Out Acne Healing Dots // I can really tell a difference when I use these overnight! I apply a little bit of Retin-A and then layer these overtop to help reduce redness and the size of a breakout.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist // Love this stuff. Keeps your skin really hydrated and well balanced!

Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops // These tanning drops are awesome. I have the “dark” color and just put a few drops in my moisturizer at night.

SK-II Toner // The verdict is in! Since I started using this a while back, I HAVE noticed a difference in my skin tone and texture. Granted, I have had microneedling and lasering done since I started, but I think the improvement is at least partially due to this product.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir // I would bathe in this stuff if I could. I have used this product for years and it’s still a go-to! It’s a toning mist that sets makeup, boosts radiance, and tightens your pores on contact.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask // Took this to London and was SO amazed because for the first time EVER, my face didn’t break out while traveling. I owe it all to this mask for keeping my skin hydrated and healthy!

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask // Totally transforms your lips overnight!

Tatcha Water Cream // Started out with a sample of this stuff and was so impressed, I bought the full size!

Haircare

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray // You cannot have enough of this stuff, in my opinion. It acts almost as a dry shampoo, but gives you great volume and grip for styling!

Olaplex Shampoo // A new addition. Bought this stuff on Amazon Prime Day and have loved it so far! Claims to repair and maintain bonds within the hair, leaving it shiny, healthy, and more manageable.

Olaplex Conditioner // The conditioner that pairs with the shampoo above!

Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam // Always reach for this dry shampoo foam in between washes!

T3 Curling Iron // I have used this curling iron for over a year now and love how it creates the perfect curl in just one pass. When heated, the unique T3 Tourmaline and ceramic styling surface emits negative ions that seal the cuticle, eliminate frizz, and deliver shiny results that last.
