What’s In My Beauty Bag: April

Welcome to April’s installment of What’s In My Beauty Bag where I give you a rundown of the products I’m currently using consistently, reviewing, and/or loving! This month we have some new additions like this Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Gloss and an OBAGI Moisturizer as well as some old favorites like my hilighter wand, the contour set I’m loving and the eyeshadow palette I’ve been wearing non-stop. Continue reading for the scoop on why these products made the cut for April’s roundup!

Spring Makeup Haul

TOO FACED EYESHADOW // This is the eyeshadow palette I’ve been using daily! I’ve been using “cashmere bunny” on the outer corners of my lid and in the crease, “silk teddy” on my brow bone and the inside corner of my eye and “sexpresso” to deepen the outside corner crease when I want a little more drama. All of the shades are so pretty that you really can’t go wrong!

BEAUTY BLENDER // I’m trying out different beauty blenders and this one from Target has been good. All in all I think I like the actual Beauty Blender more but I’m going to keep using this one to see if it gets better as it’s used.

BECCA UNDEREYE BRIGHTENER // This is just the best brightener for your under-eye! Apply it after a moisturizer and before your foundation and concealer.

NEUTROGENA LIP SHINE // This lip gloss isn’t pictured because it’s empty! I love the color “soft blush” so much!

MAC EYESHADOW PRIMER // This is a primer that you can wear solo or as a fantastic base to your eyeshadow. It will really help your shadow stay on and it will help you not use as much eye shadow since the pigment looks so much better with a primer.

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY HIGHLIGHTER WAND // Can’t stop. Won’t stop. I apply this to my cheek bone, the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow or the inner corner of the eye for a pretty glow.

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY COLLAGEN LIP GLOSS // This is a lip plumper and collagen treatment in one. I can’t tell a ton on the plumping side but I do think it helps to hydrate and give the illusion of fuller lips.

TATCHA EXFOLIATING CLEANSER // I’ve been reading up a ton on J-Beauty (Japanese Beauty… more on that later) and am trying out the “double cleansing” method. First I cleanse to remove my makeup and then I’m using this exfoliating cleanser. I’ve been doing this for about a week and love it so far but will report back after further use!

BYE BYE BREAKOUT // The best concealer for breakouts, period.

PILLOWTALK BLUSH // I have been wearing this recently and really like it. I don’t put on a ton because it’s a darker shade than I’m used to but I think it does a great job of accenting the apples of your cheeks while looking natural.

KAT VON D CONTOUR SET // I originally bought this to travel with and have been using it every day to highlight and contour. I use the bronzer everywhere I normally put bronzer and use the highlighter to set my under-eye concealer!

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY CONCEALER // This is the concealer I’ve been wearing for daily coverage in lieu of Shape Tape. I love Shape Tape but it can be very full coverage and if you’re just wearing a light cc cream it might look too harsh.

OBAGI MOISTURIZER // My girlfriend Jordan Harper recommended I use this as a moisturizer so I’m giving it a whirl. So far, so good! If you have combination or really dry skin this would be an excellent product to try! I’m using it morning and night!

MAKEUP FOREVER COVER FOUNDATION // I’ve ran out of my cc cream and finished up a few other foundations I was testing so I’m using this product again! This was my ride or die foundation for years and I really do love it so!

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY WONDERGLOW PRIMER // Another item that is back into my rotation is this wonderglow primer. Whenever I wear a foundation like the above I try to use a primer to really help it look smooth and natural. This primer also gives you a subtle boost of luminance and is great for your skin!

COVERGIRL EXHIBITIONIST MASCARA // I am very very very impressed with this mascara! You should buy it and give it a try. I think you’ll be impressed! Don’t forget to use a primer like the one below.

VOLUMINOUS LASH PRIMER // The primer I always use for mascara no matter what type it is!

NYX EYELINER // The angled tip on this eye liner makes it very easy to link your lids. Well, as easy as it could be!

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY EYEBROW PENCIL // I’m also out of my Brow Wiz and have been using this liner in “taupe”. I really like it but I find that the tip isn’t as precise as Brow Wiz. Still a great product and I intend on using it until it’s out!

MAYBELLINE EYELINER // This product will give tired eyes an instant boost! Put a little bit on the inner corner or your eye or your waterline to help your eyes look bigger and brighter!

My real “Beauty Blender” was covered in black mold within a week and I followed all of the cleaning instructions to the letter. Have you ever had that happen? I’d much rather throw a 7.00 one away….
