The Best Coffee Table Books for Styling

I firmly believe that when it comes to home design, details are everything. Sure, big stuff is important, but to me, it’s the little things that make a house really feel like home! Now that we have (almost) finalized our furniture, lighting, flooring, etc., I am finally getting around to choosing decor items to fill each space in our home. Though finding the perfect pieces for each room can be difficult and time consuming, I’m starting with something chic, versatile, and easy to style: coffee table books!

In case you were wondering, the official definition of a coffee table book is “a large, expensive, lavishly illustrated book, especially one intended only for casual reading.” AKA these are not your average Liane Moriarty novels (though we do love & appreciate Liane). These books are centered around all the lovely things in life (think luxury, fashion, art, design, travel, & photography) and are highly visual. Oh, and it should probably be noted that coffee table books don’t just have to live on your coffee table (as ironic as that sounds). They’re also great for styling shelves, entryways, nightstands, and even kitchen counters!

While shopping for my own home, I pulled together a list of the chicest coffee table books I could find, and am sharing them with you below! These books can be found at retailers like One Kings Lane, Anthropologie, and McGee & Co., though all the links I provided below will lead you to Amazon for convenience (hellooooo Prime shipping). I mostly ordered books with neutral and white spines for our home, which I’ll be sure to share once I’ve styled them!

Coffee Table Books by Spine Color

I’m breaking down the prettiest coffee table books for styling below, and have them organized by spine color! As I mentioned, I’m using mostly whites & neutrals in our home, but if you have a more modern style, I think using all black & white books would be really chic. OR, if you’re into color, there are options for you too (I especially love the Gray Malin books!). Mix and match your favorites and let me know what you choose!
