If you’re anything like me, you log a lot of pool time during the summer. My girls will play for hours at the pool and never once argue or complain about anything. Ok, maybe they complain that I don’t let them eat endless popsicles. I will happily put up with the neverending sweets requests if it means they are outside in the sunshine playing and exhausting themselves. The girls’ obsession with swimming means I wear a swimsuit and a coverup almost every day of summer.
We will typically spend some time at home in the morning and then pack up a cooler and head out by the pool. I find somewhere shady to get some work done while they swim and play. Once I finish some work I will play with them or sit out in the sun. Well, that was our game plan last summer when Isla still loved to lay around in a bouncer in the shade with a fan on her. This summer I think I’ll be doing a little less lounging and a lot more chasing her around.
Since I’m sitting under an umbrella working, hanging out poolside, and playing with the girls in the water, I like to have a versatile collection of pool-friendly apparel. My go-to as of late has been a one-piece that I can wear while picking Isla up over and over and a coverup that is lightweight and easy to throw on and off about 100 times.
