Stay Warm Outside This Winter with Backcountry

This post is sponsored by Backcountry and Shopstyle.

No matter what season, we are an outdoor family. Our trips to Montana and Lake Louise are prime examples that we don’t shy away from outdoor adventures even in the winter. Cold, colder and downright freezing, we love adventure even in the most frigid of temps. But, I’m going to do everything I can to stay warm no matter what the temperature outside. You know I love Backcountry, and honestly they are the only retailer I buy my winter coats and gear from. I know with Backcountry’s selection I will be able to really enjoy what we’re doing, instead of chattering my teeth.

Backcountry Winter Gear and Apparel Sale

Now through December 20, select Backcountry winter coats, accessories and gear are up to 40% off. Honestly that’s as good as some of the Cyber Monday sales and the perfect time to purchase your winter outerwear. You can also use my promo code CRISTIN15 to get 15% off your first order (exclusions apply).

Backcountry Items I Wear to Stay Warm

Arc’teryx Cerium LT Down Vest // I love vest season. When the sun shines a coat might be too much but this down vest is enough to stay warm while playing outside with the girls.

Free People FP Movement Work It Out Hoodie // A great hoodie and a similar option to my Basin and Range Hoodie that is currently sold out!

Patagonia Better Sweater Gloves // These are great gloves for the winter months!

Black Diamond Brand Beanie // I love a good beanie. These two are sleek and slim fitting. I really love

Pendleton Eco-Wise Wool Washable Blanket // If you love camping or just enjoying a backyard bonfire, this is a great blanket. It’s wool but fully washable which makes it a great outdoor blanket. They also have this one with fringe

Patagonia Nano Puff // This is my everyday winter coat. I throw it on any time I’m headed outside and even though it’s lightweight, it’s pretty warm. If you’re going to get one thing, I suggest the Nano Puff.

Get Outside

Honestly, outside is probably the best place to be right now. Fresh air, a change of scenery. If you are trying a new outdoor activity and don’t know what you’ll need, Backcountry has “gearheads” available 24/7. They are former Olympians, athletes, and guides who have a ton of expertise and knowledge and can steer you towards the best gear for your needs.

Backcountry also has great shipping and an easy return policy. It’s one of the many reasons I love getting my outerwear from them, but it’s also great for gift buying too! Here are two items I love right now!

A Great Gift Idea

YETI Rambler Mug // What is the point of having a warm beverage outside if it doesn’t stay warm? Coffee, hot cider, an evening Hotty Toddy will all stay hot for hours in the YETI mug. If we’re going to take a morning walk through the woods behind the house, I’m putting my coffee in this.

A Parka To Keep You Warm

Military green Canada Goose parka // Consider this Canada Goose Parka the Cadillac of winter coats. It’ll keep you warm but it’s still slim enough that you won’t look like the brother from a Christmas Story. I love the chic military green color and the detachable fur hood.
