Exploring Montana with Backcountry

Sponsored by Backcountry and ShopStyle.

One of our favorite things to do is load the girls in the car and head out for a drive. We love to find winding roads to secluded areas and take them on small hikes, drive to overlooks or just ride around looking for wildlife. When we were in Montana we headed out every morning to catch the early morning sun and make another trip in the evening. We would stop and take short hikes to scenic fields, scout out overlooks, and stop to admire every beautiful animal that we saw.

Today I wanted to share with you what I packed for our trip to Montana. This outfit took me from comfortably riding in a car to walking down a snowy path, to climbing up rocks for a good view. My entire suitcase in Montana was essentially from Backcountry (more outfits to come) and I love their selection of wearable items that are as stylish as they are functional. We love shopping at Backcountry because of their endless selection, 24/7 customer service and free 2-day shipping on all US orders over $50. It is our go-to retailer for all of our active and outdoor lifestyle wear. If you love being outside, hiking, camping or just wearing stylish & comfortable outdoor apparel then you will love Backcountry!

If it’s your first time shopping at Backcountry, use code CRISTIN15 at checkout and instantly save 15% off your entire purchase on full priced items! (Exclusions apply).

What I Packed for Montana

Cristin Cooper in Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket from Backcountry.

OUTER LAYER // I love this jacket! The color, the fit, the warmth. This and the Patagonia nano-puff with the hood are my two most-warm winter styles. You can layer them over vests or under heavy jackets with ease.

BASE LAYER // Backcountry has a top of great base layers that are perfect for lounging around the house or pairing with your latest outerwear like this crew shirt or a base layer like this or this, or even this midweight crew top.

WATERPROOF BOOTS // These boots are my new go-to to wear with jeans when I need a waterproof shoe or when I might be climbing or walking through the wilderness. They are lightweight and comfortable but keep your feet warm and dry!

ACCESSORIES // I love a Backcountry beanie and I don’t care who knows it. This is my latest purchase and will be a winter staple in my wardrobe. I also don’t leave home without my favorite socks and these sunglasses that fit under any hat you choose to wear.
