Snow Day Outfit

There are only a few times when I enjoy snow. 1) On Christmas Morning. 2) When I’m at a ski resort and can hop inside and sit by the fire and not have to clean up any of the snow tracks inside our door. 3) The 45 minutes of non-crying, non whining moments when my kids are actually having fun. (Disclaimer: the two hours it takes pre-and post snow almost disqualifies this one.)

Times when I don’t like the snow: The 835 times it causes school to be delayed and cancelled each winter. Sure, snow would be great if I lived on the Prairie and didn’t have a job to do, a blog to run and weren’t afraid for my kid’s well-being playing outside in 6 degree temps. For those of you that work from home with two or more toddlers, I truly am in awe. In fact as I am writing this they are having a game to see who can sneak taps on my keyboard which leaves me trying to type with one hand, fight them off with the other and discipline with whatever brain cells I can muster up. Needless to say it has been survival mode around the apartment this week and we have been getting out of the house however we can.

Earlier this week I took the girls over to my friend Katheryn’s house so our kids could play and we snapped a few pictures while they were rolling around, kicking snow at each other and ripping off their gloves only to scream of the cold. So what looks like me thoroughly enjoying the coldness is actually me laughing at Scottie raging.

I actually came straight from the gym and was wearing this long tee and my favorite pair of workout leggings. Athleisure in the snow is actually an easy look because you can just throw on a long coat, some snow boats and a cute beanie and you’re done. This beanie is from Amazon, is less than $15 and comes in a ton of colors. It’s actually pretty great quality and I have it in black and grey too! This one is the white and you can also buy them in a set of two.
