This will not be the most amazing fitness transformation you’ve ever seen. Let’s just get that on the table from the start. What this will be, however, is an accurate look at my first 6 weeks on the best fitness program I’ve ever tried. And I’ve tried a LOT.

Here is the quick backstory for all of you newbies. I grew up an athlete playing too many sports to name but tennis and soccer religiously. In college I was on the dance team and was in killer shape thanks to the 30+ hours of practices, games and workouts a week. Post college I’ve dabbled in every fad workout known to man. P90X, Insanity, BBG, Tone It Up, 30 Day Shred, Tracy Anderson, you name it. Every single time I try a new workout I end up getting so dang bored. I’ve thought about buying a personal trainer but honestly I don’t want to pay that kind of money and even more honestly I doubt I would be able to find one I would want to hang out with day in and day out much less trust to overhaul my body.

A few months ago I discovered the Faster Way To Fat Loss from a couple of my blogging friends and paid attention from a distance for some time. Meanwhile I got in really great shape last spring and lost my remaining stubborn baby fat only to slowly gain it back over the course of the summer. That’s been my life really. I know how to work out, I know how to deprive myself of certain foods and do cardio and lift to get lean. I’m just too damn tired to put in that much effort day in and day out and I eventually creep back up because since turning 30 and having two kids close together in age my metabolism has gone to crap. I swear I can look at a hamburger and gain 3 pounds. That’s why I finally decided to give this program a go.

Why I Love Faster Way To Fat Loss

What ultimately drew me to The Faster Way To Fat Loss is that it is a program aimed at teaching your body to become a better fat burner and increasing your metabolism. And get this, you actually get to eat. And not just eat, you get to eat carbs! ALOT of carbs. This program is all about learning to eat the right foods, at the right times and for the right reasons.

It’s flexible too! Meaning you can cheat and not fall off the wagon. One of the things that is big with Faster Way To Fat Loss is that it is all about progress and not perfection and if you make a mistake just let it go and stay on track with the program. If you have a cheat meal or a cheat day it’s ok and you haven’t failed on day 28 or 30 or anything like that. It’s also flexible and you can switch around the days and workouts as you need! Don’t have a gym membership? No worries there is an at-home plan. Don’t know how to lift? Don’t worry you get videos and instructions for every move and there is a beginner track as well!

The best part about this program though is what it teaches you about food and about your body. You fast every am through breakfast (don’t worry you can drink coffee and tea) and through this you not only burn fat but you also learn to really listen to your body and your hunger levels. Yes you track your macronutrients (carbs, fats and proteins) but there is an app that does all of that for you! If you want to know more check out this Q&A post because I’ve added a few more answers to some of your questions.

You Win Some You Lose Some

Before I get to the results I want to chat about what this realistically looked like for me. We started after Thanksgiving which means I kept up with the program through Zach’s birthday, going to the ACC championship, a trip to Charleston, Christmas parties, Christmas and a NYE trip to New Orleans. And I didn’t give it 100% effort either. I would give myself a solid B for the workouts because I missed maybe 1 of those here and there and for the most part finished them all. However, when it comes to nutrition I would give myself a solid C minus. I ate cake for Zach’s bday, ate everything in Charleston, enjoyed my favorite family treats on Christmas and yes, even ate fried oysters and, gasp, pasta in New Orleans. I did enjoy all of that in moderation and I absolutely kept up with the intermittent fasting and macro-tracking. I’m just saying all in all I didn’t eat the cleanest foods or put in the best A+ effort. But you know what? I kept on keeping on. And I made it through all of that without gaining weight.

In fact I lost weight. I’m not going to tell you how much weight because it doesn’t matter to me and it shouldn’t matter to you either. If you want to do this program you should do it because you want to get healthier, stronger, leaner, tighter and lose inches. After all can’t we all agree that the scale is a liar?!? I personally can lose like 5 pounds overnight or gain 3 pounds after one meal. The way in which my body fluctuates with water weight is unbelievable and honestly I didn’t step on the scale until after the 6 weeks and after I measured myself. And here are those measurements. I think they paint a much better picture of what actually happened with my body.

MY FASTER WAY TO FAT LOSS RESULTS

Measurements taken from day 1 to the last day of the 6 weeks:

Boobs – Lost 1/2 an inch (Let’s hope from the excess bra bulge I still have thanks to being huge from pregnancy)

Waist – Lost 1 inch (This is measured at the smallest part of my natural waist)

Belly – Lost 1.5 inches (This is what I’m most excited about bc it’s the area I affectionately call my “mom pooch”)

Butt – Lost 1.5 inches (And only 37 more to go. JK my booty isn’t going anywhere and I don’t want it to!)

Upper Thigh – Lost 1/2 an inch

Lower Thigh – Lost 1/2 an inch

Arm – Lost 1 inch

So that is a total of 6.5 inches all around my body with Faster Way to Fat Loss. Not to bad if I do say so myself!! My shoulders are getting more toned, I’m losing fat on my arms, my waist is getting leaner, my butt and thighs smaller and the best part is I’m feeling great about it! I love looking in the mirror at the gym and starting to see muscle definition. I’m up and working out before dawn for the first time in my entire life. I’m so excited to try and get better about my food choices and the intensity of my workouts every day. I’ve stopped beating myself up for enjoying a cheat meal and ultimately don’t want to cheat as much any more. Most of all I am actually looking forward to another round. I love that the workouts change every day and that I essentially have a personal trainer that fits into my lifestyle and budget. It is seriously the best and worth every penny even if you do it once because you will have a 6-week fitness plan you could repeat over and over again.

If you do multiple rounds, do you pay the $200 each time or is it a 1 time fee to start out? You look great btw!!

    • Amy says:

Are there any 24 hour fasts during the week?

    • No! The second round is cheaper and then after that I think you can join her VIP program where it’s a monthly subscription. You could definitely take the first round and repeat it again and again because you get all of the PDFs of all of the information. I decided to do it again because I like the facebook group for support, questions and recipes and I like the accountability!

  2. Kimberly says:

I’m also interested in knowing if it’s $199 each round. I am considering the Feb 5 round, but I work out of town Feb 15-21, where I have no access to kitchen, and all food is provided. What are your thoughts on beginning a program w/ that being the situation?

    • I did it through the holidays and did fine! You can still make healthy choices with what you are given so I wouldn’t let that hold you back. As for the price… The second round is cheaper and then after that I think you can join her VIP program where it’s a monthly subscription. You could definitely take the first round and repeat it again and again because you get all of the PDFs of all of the information. 3. Erin says:

I just started this program last week! Being a mom of two as of this past Sept, it has made me realize the excess I’ve been eating. The accountability is great and the fact I can do all my workouts at home is a huge plus! Congrats on your progress!

  4. Julie says:

Hey Cristin! I’ve been keeping up with you, as well as Beth from seersuckerandsaddles, on this program and am thinking about signing up for the next round. We have a beach trip in May so… My main question is do you ever feel faint or light headed during the fasting period after working out?

  5. Brooke says:

I’ve followed Amanda on Instagram for a few weeks and I’m not sure I can get over the way she comes across and the constant “fairy” filter and the way she speaks. It all seems so odd and fake—like it’s a ponsy scheme??? And now with all of these bloggers joining—it’s a lot of money to me! I’m not saying the program doesn’t work but I just can’t seem to trust what she says about her involvement…does she really give the attention to you?? Thoughts??

    • Hi! She absolutely does. There isn’t a facebook post on the group board that doesn’t get answered immediately by her or one of her two coaches. I do make a small commission if people sign up using my link but honestly all I can think of is what a genius she is for creating this…. no ponsy scheme, that I can assure you.

  6. Kaki says:

Did you buy the 2.0 cookbook and sample meal plan?

  7. Lesley says:

I’m so impressed with your results! And inspired! Thoughts on doing this while pregnant?

    • You can definitely do it! You can adjust your calories to eat more. It’s so healthy and would be great while pregnant. Maybe not fast every am due to blood sugar, etc but they will tell you about that!

  8. Amanda Schiltz says:

You look great! I’m due in 4 weeks with my second boy. This pregnancy has been harder, especially here at the end, and I haven’t gotten to work out like I did the first time around because I’m chasing a 2.5 year old! I think that’s part of the reason I feel so lousy here at the end because I went from being decently active to really nothing. ? But I would love to start not this round but the next because I have GOT to get the weight off and get back to exercising. Is it ok to do while breastfeeding?? TIA!

  9. Jess says:

So I’m kinda confused by this whole thing. I see a lot of bloggers doing this, but why is it so great? Are the exercises completely broken down? Do You have to buy a food guide in addition? I’m
Just trying to get a better understanding of what is so amazing. I mean, I will say your results are great. So are others!

    • It’s so great because you are essentially getting a personal trainer. Every single day there is a set guide for the workout plan you should follow. It changes every day and you rotate cardio, lifting, full-body, recovery etc. The exercises are written out for you and you get links to videos to learn how to do them. In addition to that you are told what type of macro / calorie breakdown to follow for that day and are given access to a facebook group for questions, recipes, meal prep help, etc etc etc.
