Each December/January, my skincare routine shifts to include as many hydrating and moisturizing products as possible to combat dry and dehydrated skin. If you are acne prone or have oily skin then you might be weary of moisturizers. I used to be too! That was until I learned that dry skin can actually go into overdrive producing oil. While dry skin is different than dehydrated skin, moisture is the solution to both! Of course, hydrating from the inside out is essential, but I also think the products you apply topically play a big part in your skin’s health through the winter. Below you’ll find my favorite skincare products for keeping happy, balanced skin all winter long, including products for the under eyes & lips. You won’t have any issues with flakey, dry skin after using these products!
Revision Skincare Brightening Wash // My new go-to face wash for dry skin! This stuff is the real deal and I really think it has helped with my skin’s tone and texture without stripping it of it’s moisture. My friend Jordan Harper recommended it to me and I am obsessed!
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream // I reviewed the Elemis line here and have been hooked ever since! The Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream is an anti-aging moisturizer, but isn’t too thick like a lot of other creams. It is a gel-like moisturizer that absorbs quickly, and layers perfectly under makeup! Oh, and did I mention it has won over 50 skincare awards??
Elemis Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment // This anti-wrinkle eye serum firms, smooths, and hydrates the delicate under eye area. I am especially careful to hydrate my under eye area during the winter to prevent dryness that leads to wrinkles. I love to layer Elemis Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment underneath an eye cream for ultimate hydration!
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue Cream // Charlotte herself spent 20 years perfecting this formula! It contains ingredients that brighten dark circles, smooth & firm the delicate under eye area, and boost elasticity. The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue is one of my all time favorite eye creams and I think it has made all the difference this winter!
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream // Ok I can’t say enough good things about this product as a moisturizer to prep your skin for makeup! It’s a patented, anti-aging, hydrating cream that stimulates collagen production, fights free radicals and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles. If you were looking for a great daytime moisturizer for dry skin Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream is the BEST!
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask // When my skin is feeling extra dry, I apply a thin layer of the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask before I go to sleep! This thing is a cult favorite, and after waking up with plump hydrated skin in the dead of winter, I can see why. I also use this mask when I fly (hence, “jet lag”) to combat any dry skin!
Beauty Bio Plumping Lip Serum // This high shine, plumping lip serum is infused with hyaluronic acid, sunflower seed oil, and collagen to give you fuller looking, hydrated lips! Nobody wants flaky, dry, cracked lips in the winter and the Beauty Bio Plumping Lip Serum (along with the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask below) has been my saving grace. Plus, you can use this as a lip gloss throughout the day!
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask // This is probably the 40th time I’ve posted about the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask but there’s a reason why. I apply this lip mask at night before I go to bed and can vouch that it banishes flakiness to complete refresh your lips! It’s also infused with vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and antioxidants so you know you’re getting the best possible ingredients for the price.
Sol De Janiero Bum Bum Cream // This stuff also has a cult following! The thing that first hooked me to Sol De Janiero Bum Bum Cream was the smell (it’s scented with warm pistachio/vanilla/caramel notes), but I stayed for the fast absorption and super conditioning formula. Oh, and the product contains a small amount of mica, which helps you get that perfect Brazillian glow!!
I have incredibly dry skin in the winter and am very excited to try some these products!
Hey Cristin, in your IG story today (1/13) you had a blue item, I didn’t catch what it was or for but you held it up regarding concealer. It’s pictured in your shop My IG post but I don’t see it linked. Can you let me know what it’s for and what it is? I have dark circles, hereditary and am always looking for better coverage options. TIA!
