16 Reader Favorites: Beauty Buys

Recently out of curiosity, I surveyed my oh so loyal Facebook audience with this question: out of all the items I’ve recommended to you, what is one item you have purchased and loved? I always love opening the floor for you guys to share your thoughts, because I learn SO MUCH about you and why you choose to continue reading this blog (thank you for that, by the way!). This time around, it was really interesting to me that almost all of the recommendations you guys listed as your favorites were beauty products that I’ve posted.

I always try to share beauty items I really believe are worth purchasing, whether it’s a $10 mascara or a $30 concealer. When it comes down to it, beauty products are the one thing you really wear every day, so making smart investments in products you know you’ll love is key. That’s why I only share items that are tried and true by my standards (which are very, very high).

All of the items on this list are items that my Facebook followers have purchased (& loved) based on my recommendation. Plus, they’re all items that live in my personal beauty arsenal! I use almost every single one of these on a daily or weekly basis. Keep scrolling to read my thoughts on each individual product!

16 Reader Favorites: Beauty Buys

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen // I have been using this as my daily SPF and I’m in love. Creates a great canvas for makeup application and provides much needed sun protection.

Tinkle Razors // Always in my arsenal. I’m overjoyed that so many of you have taken up with the dermaplaning movement!!

Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner // The most magical brush cleaner. Brushes are dry after only about an hour and are cleaner than I’ve ever seen them!

Tarte In Bloom Palette // My go-to eyeshadow palette! You really only need one or two solid eyeshadow palettes and I love the neutral shades in this one. I also love that there’s a good mix between matte and shimmery shades!

L’Oreal Voluminous Superstar Mascara // I have yet to find a mascara I like better than this $10 drugstore one! Love that it’s double sided with primer + mascara in one tube.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer // A lighter coverage concealer that I swap in place of Shape Tape when I’m just wearing CC Cream.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Primer // The primer I always use for mascara no matter what type it is!

Tula Cleanser // I have tried so many cleansers and Tula is my favorite. It has lactic acid to cleanse and exfoliate, chicory root which acts as a natural anti-inflammatory prebiotic, turmeric root that also reduces signs of inflammation, blueberries to protect from free-radicals and probiotics to hydrate and lock in moisture.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer // I always find myself going back to this concealer. It’s a cult favorite, and for good reason!

NYX Butter Gloss // Always always always have this with me. I love color Creme Brulee, but there are tons of other great ones!

It Cosmetics CC Cream // This is already my go-to for everyday makeup, but the SPF also makes it great for summertime! I wear shade Light Medium and will also mix with this CC Cream Bronzer for a touch more color!

Becca Blush // I wear shade “flower child”. It gives you exactly the flush of color you need without making you look overdone!

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand // This will be on every single one of my beauty roundups until they discontinue it. It’s that good. I apply this to my cheek bone, the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow or the inner corner of the eye for a pretty glow.

Elta MD SPF 46 // The best everyday SPF. Great for sensitive skin or skin that’s prone to breakouts. I wear this daily under makeup when I’m not wearing the Unseen Sunscreen!

Tula Day and Night Cream // Full of superfoods, probiotics that lock in moisturizer, and vitamin A (aka retinol) that gives you glowing skin! I layer over my Retin-a at night.

M-61 Power Glow Peels // An at home peel with glycolic and salicylic acids that combine to help reduce pore size and fine lines, while chamomile and lavender help calm and soothe skin. Great for after you dermaplane!
