Kitchen 208 Restaurant is an open kitchen establishment from the culinary team at Circa 1886 and the hospitality group Charming Inns that serves up casual dining on King Street in Charleston, SC. It is the sort of restaurant where all of my dreams come true. It’s quick, casual, offers alfresco dining, serves really fresh items and REALLY great fries plus it’s right in the middle of the best shopping around. Plus they source as many local ingredients as humanly possible. Local coffee? Check. Tea from Charleston Tea Plantation? You bet. Oh and did I mention that they are open for bunch Saturday and Sunday plus they have all kinds of cute themed specials throughout the week like “Meatless Monday” and “Burger Thursday”.

If you’re stopping in for lunch I recommend the Belle-Gem, The Charleston Chick or the Wendell’s Burger. Also their chopped salad is oh-so-good and well let’s be honest you have to get the fries! Breakfast, much like lunch, you just can’t go wrong with any selection you make but I would go for the Cobblestone Sandwich. And if you’re headed to Kitchen 208, the only place on King Street with great fare and fresh air, for brunch then just go crazy and order one of each!

This post was in partnership with Charming Inns but all opinions (and recommendations) are my own! Photos by Katheryn Blythe Photography.
