I will be the first person to admit that when selecting beauty products I first and foremost lean towards what looks good and what delivers results over what is necessarily good for me. I am all about integrating as many safe beauty products as possible into my routine to atone for my prescription serums and chemical peels, but not at the risk of sacrificing quality. That is why I’m so excited to share Juice Beauty with you guys today! I have consistently been on the hunt for brands that make awesome products that are good for you, that perform well and look beautiful. What if I told you I’ve discovered a skincare and makeup brand that is clinically validated and made with authentically organic formulas including a proprietary base of nutrient-rich organic botanical juices. Would you think it’s too good to be true?!? It’s not! And that is just the beginning of the amazingness that is Juice Beauty!!
ABOUT JUICE BEAUTY
Juice Beauty is radically transforming the chemistry of beauty with their clinically validated, organic formulas and their proprietary base of nutrient-rich organic botanical juices. Based in Northern California, this brand delivers high-performance skincare and vibrant, good-for-you beauty. Their organic formulas are designed so that literally every drop is beneficial to your body, operating on the premise that you shouldn’t pay for a product that is mostly made up of tap water. Instead of water fillers or petroleum by products, Juice Beauty uses a proprietary base of nutrient-rich certified organic botanical juices. Their products are also made with high potency ingredients such as Vitamin C and fruit stem cells, vegetable hyaluronic acid, peptides, algae, grapeseed, and natural essentials oils.
While buzz words like “natural” and “transparent” are awesome to sell products, they don’t actually have any certification in the beauty industry. So yes, Juice Beauty’s products are always free from parabens, petroleum, pesticides, sulfates, silicones, artificial dyes to name a few, but they also are certified organic. As a company they practice organic farming and sustainability and the ingredients they use have been certified by the USDA which means you aren’t getting any unnecessary chemicals into your skin. Honestly the lack of regulation on buzz words like “natural” in the beauty space is one of the reasons why I am so skeptical about many brands in the green beauty movement. Did you know that “natural”, “clean”, “green” and “certified organic” all mean very different things? They do! A company can claim a lot of things and that’s a major reason I always return to the qualification of whether or not a product actually works. Finding a company with products that deliver and claims they can back up is a rarity indeed and I’m glad to have discovered Juice Beauty. In fact, I have been so impressed with the two products that I am reviewing today and plan on ordering more.
Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Luminous Lip Crayon
I’m going to shoot you straight, I was slightly terrified when I saw the color of this lip crayon. We can all agree that it’s a beautiful, vibrant shade of fuchsia. In fact, this color, Healdsburg, was named after the town of Juice Beauty’s Sonoma County Farm in California and was inspired by the bounty of the Sonoma Fall Harvest. We could probably also agree that my lips are slightly voluminous. For this reason I’m more of a nude lip gal and I usually steer clear of anything with too much pigment or color. I just don’t feel like I pull off bright lip shades very well. However after just one application I determined that I really like this new shade! First of all, it’s a buildable formula. I put on one coat and got a softer hue and as I layered the fuchsia became deeper and more pigmented. I decided to stick with two light coats and a clear gloss but also was amazed at how smooth the formula was even without the gloss. I later learned that this smoothness was a result of Juice Beauty’s exclusive Moisture Plant Blend to increase skin hydration, mango seed butter to soften and antioxidant protection with Vitamin C & E.
I think that you would love this product if you love a bright pink lip or if you want to layer a little color under a favorite lip gloss. I also think it’s great as a soft pink with a light application and I would say that it complements a variety of skin tones due to the blue undertones. For those of you that don’t know, blue undertones are always better than orange if you are looking to help your skin look rosy and your teeth look white! Another shade that I really love is “Venice” which is a beautiful nude beige.
Juice Beauty STEM CELLULAR Vinifera Replenishing Oil
The next product I tried was Juice Beauty’s new Stem Cellular™ Vinifera Replenishing Oil. Made with jojoba esters, this fast-absorbing facial oil is a 2-in-1 multitasker for ultimate night time hydration + a daytime primer. Before I get into all the details about why this product works so well and is so great for you, I just need to tell you about the smell. You guys know I’m a smells person. It can be the most expensive nighttime cream on the market but if it smells like your grandma just bathed in baby powder, I would rather have wrinkles. This. Smells. Amazing. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it smells like a garden full of lemons and gardenias and mint and relaxation. I want to slather it on and nap or beg someone to give me a foot massage.
Named after Vinifera grapes grown on Juice Beauty’s Farm this product is ideal for normal to dry complexions and acts as a great foundation for makeup application. A proprietary blend of Fruit Stem Cells and Vitamin C infused into Resveratrol-Rich Grape Seed Oil work to improve the appearance of skin tone and luminosity while Jojoba Esters smooth and prime skin. There is also a lipid complex derived from Macadamia, Jojoba and Olive Squalene which helps boost and balance the lipid profile of your skin for a more youthful looking skin surface. If you don’t already know about squalene and how good it is for your skin the you need to google it and jump on the bandwagon. This oil also contains Organic Sunflower Seed Oil and Jojoba Seed oil for moisturizing and skin elasticity as well as Pomegranate Seed Oil and Vitamin E for critical antioxidant protection. Honestly, they had me at the smell & the silky-smooth application but how can you even say no to that goodness.
I know the one question I’m going to get is if it made me break out since my face is super sensitive to oils. I’ve only been using it for 4 days but so far, so good. I will continue to keep you updated on my usage of this and show you the other great products I’ve ordered to try once they come in.
