The pumpkins are out, football is back and every once and again I feel a slight crispness in the air. Fall temps will be here before you know it so today I wanted to share an easy outfit for transitioning from warm weather to that chilly goodness that we call autumn. It’s one part statement tee, one part lightweight jacket, on part comfy denim and one part the best open-toe booties you ever did see.
First let’s chat about footwear. These booties are hands down the best thing I bought at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They are so very comfy and work perfectly for early fall. I have worn them with skinny jeans, distressed jeans, black denim, dresses & skirts. This color, French Taupe, is the perfect neutral and matches pretty much any handbag color.
Literally the easiest outfit you can throw together in the fall is a tee and a lightweight jacket. It’s pretty much a no brainer, I think we can all agree on that. I love this striped tee because it’s made exceptionally well and will hold up season after season. It’s polished enough to wear alone and neutral enough to layer under a multitude of outerwear options, like this jacket. I bought this jacket when I was doing a campaign for Macy’s and admittedly it’s a little more than I would typically spend. However, I have worn it no less than 10 times (in the evenings of course) since I bought it. It’s the first layering piece I find myself reaching for. It’s very lightweight and can be worn in warmer temps and I just love the peplum detailing!
I decided to wear my newest favorite pair of skinny jeans for this shoot. I also decided to roll one hem, get distracted and completely forget to roll the other one. So I guess we could just say that I’m showing you two ways to wear them. #YouWinSomeYouLoseSome. I’ll do better next week for part two of my fall style series!
