Happy Monday! Today I thought I would share some of my favorite embroidered dresses for Spring. I wore this red dress on our trip to Mexico last month and love it! Admittedly I’m a sucker for red and the fabric is so very soft. I wouldn’t typically go for a lace-up style and I’m honestly not that into embroidery. However, I liked that this dress combined those two trends without being terrible overwhelming. It was a great light-weight dress to pack for a date night in Riviera Maya keeping me covered, cool and leaving ample room for quesadilla consumption.

FIT GUIDE
I love how the sleeves on this dress fit. I know that is a weird thing to say but what more do you expect from me at this point? The length on the sleeves is perfect and they aren’t too tight. As for this fit the sleeves and the cut of the dress is roomy enough without making you feel like you’re wearing a bag. Maybe it’s just me but sometimes when I hear tunic I think “trashbag”. Not the case with this dress! I think the hemline being shorter on the sides than the front also helps ward away any bag-like silhouette that you might have typically come to expect from a tunic. The length is just right on my 5’6″ frame for a date night or anytime I’m not chasing children. I probably wouldn’t feel all too comfortable bending over to pick up babies in it if I was wearing wedges but with flats I could manage a squat to the ground or two! I’m wearing a nude bralette underneath but if you didn’t feel comfortable with the deep v then you could always wear a bodysuit underneath. I’m in a small for reference.
