The Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Moisture Essence is almost like a really light gel used to boost skin’s hydration. It has hyaluronic acid and sea spring water which has a ton of vitamins and minerals.
To use, you put this on after cleansing and toning but before your other serums, oils and sunscreen. If you tend to get dry from a vitamin c, then you could definitely use this first! Elemis Retinol Alternative Renewal Serum
Pro Collagen Renewal Serum is Elemis’ new retinol alternative. You know I love my prescription tretinoin, but I’ve been testing retinol alternatives for a long time and haven’t been super impressed with what’s out there. I’m really interested in this Renewal Serum because it’s derived from plant sources, Padina Pavonica, Red Microalgae, Alfalfa and Stevia extracts. It’s gentle but also pretty powerful in improving the texture of your skin.
As I mentioned, Elemis does independent clinical trials on their skincare products and their retinol alternative is no different. After 4 weeks, 97% of users said the Renewal Serum reduced the appearance of sun damage and 91% said it improved fine lines while being really gentle on their skin.
The stat that really got me was 91% of people who tried Elemis’ Renewal Serum said they would continue to use this rather than their other retinol. What?!
