Next week is Thanksgiving which means, you guessed it, the chance you’ve been waiting on to throw that family photo on instagram. Forget making your shopping lists and researching recipes on Pinterest, now is the time to really hone in and concentrate on bringing your style a-game. A couple of things to consider as you are getting ready to stuff your face this Thanksgiving. First off, it’s going to be HOT! Ok yes, the temperature outside might be cool but remember that you are going to be crammed in a house filled with stoves burning, pots boiling and a lot of people breathing. You might be tempted to wear a cozy winter sweater or a really cute plaid poncho but trust me you will be down to your base layer before the appetizers are set. And if you have kids you’ll be sweating before you get everyone’s shoes on their feet to leave the house.

Secondly let’s remember there will be eating, a lot of eating, which could mean a spill here, a dropped drink there, and definitely the need to camouflage a full belly. Enter the white tunic. People always shy away from white but all I want to wear is white or black. Black hides a spill really well but white is just as good because you can tide pen it, wipe it or bleach it in the wash and no one is the wiser.

To cozy thing up for fall just throw on your favorite vest. I love this utility one from Nordstrom and this one is really great too! Vests are great because you can easily take them off to eat and back on for pics and your sleeves don’t get all tangled up in the process.

If you’re looking for other fall outfit inspiration try this post, this one and this one. Or you can check out these two options I found while shopping at Nordstrom the other day. I bought the outfit on the left and wore to the last Clemson game and I regret not buying the one on the right. It has a perfect amount of swing for a tunic.
