Today I wanted to share a few of my winter skincare favorites with you all! From my favorite cleanser (save 15% with code CRISTIN) to my must-have sunscreen, here is a collection of all my current skincare favorites!
Foreo // Bye Bye Makeup // Tula Face Cleanser // Olay Whips // Peter Thomas Roth Eye Pads // Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting Liquid // Drunk Elephant Instant Facial // Caudalie // Drying Lotion // Skinceuticals Eye Cream //MAGNETIGHT Age-Defier Mask // Elta MD Sunscreen // Bye Bye Breakout // Garnier Micellar Water
Foreo // I use this silicone device to clean my face because it’s 35 times more hygienic than a device with nylon bristles. It’s nonporous and bacteria resistant and gently removes dead skin cells and unclogs pores. Also, I haven’t charged it since I bought it. After one charge you can use it 300 times!
Bye Bye Makeup // This is what I remove my makeup with! It’s a cleanser, makeup remover and anti-aging serum all in one. It takes your makeup off without stripping your skin of moisture! Perfect for your winter skincare.
Tula Face Cleanser // I have tried so many cleansers and Tula is my favorite. It has lactic acid to cleanse and exfoliate, chicory root which acts as a natural anti-inflammatory prebiotic, turmeric root that also reduces signs of inflammation, blueberries to protect from free-radicals and probiotics to hydrate and lock in moisture. You can save 15% with code CRISTIN.
Olay Whips // This is an EXCELLENT drugstore moisturizer! To read more about it check out this post.
Peter Thomas Roth Eye Pads // These eye patches are packed with hyaluronic acid and will plump your under-eyes right up! I love to keep them in the fridge and put them on when I drink my morning coffee.
Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting Liquid // This BHA liquid gently exfoliates built-up layers of dead skin, unclogs pores leaving your skin looking smoother with less noticeable pores. Exfoliation is such an important step for your winter skincare routine.
Drunk Elephant Instant Facial // I’m skeptical of Instagram-fabulous products until I try them and let me tell you, this one passes the test! This BHA/AHA at-home facial leaves your skin silky smooth as it improves texture and evens pores. What makes this product special is that it has 25% AHA acid! That means it is going to tingle when you put it on but it is also going to work. All of those ingredients and enzymes brighten and improve the elasticity of your skin!
Caudalie // Refresh your skin, set your makeup and bathe in it. I’m obsessed with this product as is everyone who has ever used it!
Drying Lotion // This is what I use on my breakouts! Dab a little bit on with a q-tip, sleep in it and it will calm down that zit overnight!
Skinceuticals Eye Cream // I was given this product by the brand and really love it. I’m trying to use the whole jar before I compare it with other eye creams.
MAGNETIGHT Age-Defier Mask // If you are wanting to have a girls’ night or a spa night you must try this product! It is wild the way the magnet works and your skin feels awesome after.
Elta MD Sunscreen // I put this product on every day after my vitamin C serum, even in the winter. It acts as a sunscreen, moisturizer and primer.
Bye Bye Breakout // This is the best concealer for breakouts because it also helps to correct them! I love that it’s infused with Tea Tree to treat blemishes and colloidal oatmeal to moisturize, soften and smooth your skin. It also has sulfur to reduce bacteria and exfoliate.
Garnier Micellar Water // A great micellar water for removing any excess residue or makeup. You can even clean your entire face for it.
How to Apply Skincare
A lot of you have been asking me what is the best order to apply skincare products. The rule of thumb is thinnest to thickest so that the thinnest products can seep in. If you apply a thick cream first it would act as a barrier to anything else you put on. Think liquids to serums to creams and when in doubt consult this handy graphic below! Go ahead and Pin it to save it for later!
