What’s In My Makeup Bag: February

Welcome to part two of a new beauty series I’m doing for 2018 cleverly titled “What’s In My Makeup Bag”. Every month I’m going to post the new additions to my makeup arsenal and the ones that I just can’t seem to give up. If you want to see January’s post you can do so here. Of course this isn’t everything I use for my face so if you’re interested in a complete breakdown of my favorite items by product check out this page. For now let’s dive right into my new makeup loves and learn what they are, how I use them, which ones I think are worth the money & which ones I will definitely buy again. I used several of these items in this 8 minute makeup tutorial if you want to view the actual application.

In My Makeup Bag, Makeup Favorites, New Makeup

Tula Kefir Ultimate Recovery Mask // Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow // Too Faced Finishing Powder // Mario Badescu Facial Spray // NARS Natural Foundation // Yves Saint Laurent Lipstick // Too Faced Lip Cream // Dermalogica Primer // Cover FX Blemish Treatment Concealer // Urban Decay All-Nighter Makeup Setting Spray // It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer

Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow: This product is nothing short of amazing. It comes out of the tube white and as you rub it on your face turns bronze and morphs to your natural skin tone. A little goes a LONG way and if you put on too much you will feel sticky but it’s pretty incredible for hydrating and illuminating. Made for both men and women it instantly conceals all sorts of minor imperfections just like a natural tan would.

Tula Kefir Ultimate Recovery Mask: Tula’s newest mast helps your skin recover from extreme dryness of winter! I’ve used a few times since they sent it to me and if you are looking for a lightweight moisturizing mask this one is great! If you buy on Tula’s site be sure to use CRISTIN for 20% off + free shipping!

NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation: This product might just take the place of my favorite foundation. I love the lightweight, full coverage and how it doesn’t settle into my creases. I wear color “Vallauris” or Medium 1.5.

Too Faced Peach Blur Translucent Smoothing Finishing Powder – Use this to set your foundation or concealer for a pretty peachy glow. I have pink undertones in my skin but I’ve also seen this look beautiful on people with yellow undertones.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herb and Rosewater – This spray is great to refresh your skin or set your makeup. It smells great and makes my skin feel very hydrated. I also use their Drying Lotion for breakouts. I’m 99.9% sure it’s just calamine lotion & alcohol but it works awesome!

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer – This is a HEAVY DUTY concealer and a tiny bit goes a long way. It’s great for covering up imperfections, is waterproof and won’t fade BUT you have to set it with a setting powder or else it’s just too sticky.

Too Faced Lip Cream in Nude Beach – A pretty peachy mauve shade that is very natural looking!

Cover FX Blemish Treatment Concealer – I’ve been looking for a good concealer with salicylic acid to use when I have breakouts. I compared all of the ones at Sephora and decided on this one because of the coverage, the matte finish and the 1%?salicylic acid. I use color “light”.

Dermalogica Primer – Still loving this one from my January review and using it daily.

Yves Saint Laurent Lipstick in 70 Le Nu – I am in love with this shade of mauve. It has cool undertones which I think makes your skin and teeth look brighter and whiter.

Urban Decay All-Nighter Makeup Setting Spray – Another January favorite that I’m loving. I feel like this product really helps my makeup last all day!

PRODUCTS IN MY MINI-TUTORIAL ON INSTAGRAM

Laura Mercier Stick in Amythest – This is the product I applied all over my lid like an eyeshadow.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Taupe – The ultimate eyebrow pencil!

Nyx Brow Pencil In Taupe – A dupe for the product above. It doesn’t go on as well or last as long but it’s a fraction of the price!

Maybelline Lasting Drama Light Liner in White Luster – Apply to your water line and inner eye for instantly brighter eyes!

Bare Minerals Lip Gloss in Fancy – This was Scottie’s lip product of choice and one of my all-time favorites.

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara – Still using this on the daily. I love how long and thick it makes my lashes look. It has flaked on me 2 or 3 times so I’m trying to get to the bottom of that but all in all a fantastic mascara.

Nars Blush in Orgasm – I’ve used this blush since college and it remains one of my favorites.

Laura Mercier Caviar EyeShadow Palette – My new eyeshadow palette. Still trying the rest of the colors but so far I’m a fan.

Simga Brush Kit – My first set of fancy brushes and right now they are on sale.
