One of the reasons that I went to New York last week was because TRESemmé invited me to attend their Glam Brunch Styling Session and have a VIP appointment with one of their stylists. (#WHAT). TRESemmé is the officially haircare sponsor of New York Fashion Week and always has a salon set up right in the middle of the action. Bloggers, influencers and personalities are constantly rotating in and out to get their hair done for shows and all of their lunches, brunches and meetings throughout the day. You can search the #TRESnyfw hashtag on instagram and check out some of the looks.

For my look I told the stylist that I loved braids, loose waves and volume volume volume. My vision was to have Brigette Bardot hair with a little boho braid action and I think he pretty much nailed it. Also, this seems silly to me to even say but no, I don’t have extensions. People email or DM me to ask so I thought I would just throw it out there. I have fairly fine hair with natural waves but I just have so much of it. I’m definitely not against extensions or anything like that but I just haven’t put forth the effort (or money) into buying them. One day I’m going to invest in a good set because I think it would be fun to try different styles with a massive amount of hair on my head. I’m a slippery slope away from being a gypsy I tell ya!

After my appointment?headed back to the Dream Downtown and met up with my friend Mallory from Style Your Senses for a little photoshoot. The outfit I’m wearing is from Augusta Twenty in Greenville, SC and I couldn’t love it more. This Warm blouse is probably the most beautiful item of clothing I’ve ever worn. It’s completely sheer so I paired it with a lace bralette from Target and tucked it into a corduroy Joie skirt that I will most likely wear every other day this fall. I capped the outfit off with a snakeskin Loeffler Randall clutch and Frye booties.

What do you think? Love it? Here are a couple of different items to recreate the look:

Skirts:
