Like most people, I think I have a love/hate relationship with wallpaper. Love it because of the design element, and the texture, character, and warmth it can add to a room. Hate it mostly because of the application & removal process. I’m not usually a huge fan of wallpaper for logistical reasons, but I did an accent wall in Scottie’s old nursery and LOVED the way it transformed her room in our old house. And now that we’re in the new house, I can’t help but wonder how the right wallpaper could make certain spaces (like the powder room, reading nook, etc.) all the more homey. I’ve been thinking about doing black grasscloth from Serena and Lily in our master bath closet, and am also looking to wallpaper an accent wall in the girls’ bedroom. Heck, while I’m at it, I might even take on a wall in the playroom, or maybe the girls’ bathroom. Needless to say, my wheels are turning, and I’ve been searching the web non-stop for pretty patterns to include in our home that I won’t get tired of (because seriously, wallpaper removal is not fun). Here are the best ones I’ve seen so far, broken down into the following categories: classic, neutral, coastal, playful, whimsical, and floral.
