Nothing says “southern” like the combination of blue and white! That’s why when my friend Mary of Mrs. Southern Social suggested we style a blue and white table for our fall entertaining collaboration, I was all in. Granted, I typically think of blue and white china as the perfect entertaining staple for spring/summer, but I LOVE how we made it work for fall! The pops of orange in the florals, the pumpkin details, and the fall patterns (hello, plaid) really brought everything together, and made for an unforgettable fall tablescape. In LOVE with these hand painted blue and white pumpkins from For Pete’s Sake Pottery. They have so many beautiful entertaining items for fall, from platters, to dishes, to ceramic pumpkins and more. I loved the pumpkins we used so much, I ordered a set for myself keep at home!
We picked up these pretty orange blooms from a wholesale flower market in Nashville! Combined with the tiny orange faux pumpkins, I think they give the table just the right pop of color.
I can’t get over this stunning Spode China that Mary pulled out for this shoot (find direct links to the China on Mary’s blog). This is one of her everyday China sets, so basically she is the QUEEN of southern entertaining and I aspire to be her. We also used her custom monogrammed napkins from The Preppy Stitch, and blue & white Ginger Jar Foldover Place Cards from WH Hostess. The charger plates, flatware and glassware were all rented from Please Be Seated!
