Your guides are amazing! Nordstrom is one of my favorite places to shop too, so picking out a few gifts from these lists will be very easy! This year I’d love the hourglass palette that I missed out on during the Sephora sale, a silk pillowcase, and I always love getting a cute new pair of boots too! I’ll never turn down a spa gift card to use on a massage or facial either!
Honestly, I love when my husband gets me things I’ve casually discussed wanting – I think it’s super sweet! That being said, I really want a pair of cozy house slippers (like the Ugg bootie slippers or Minnetonka moccasin version), luxurious bath products (the kind that make me cringe at the price but would be so indulgent and lovely to enjoy), or a fun evening out at a show or at a cooking class. Love doing things together vs just getting “things” to give presents. If what he gets me is thoughtful and inspired by things I love, I think they’re great gifts – otherwise, it’s just stuff!

To answer your Instagram story question, my boyfriend has always done experience gifts which I’ve loved. So for an example, he gave me a trip to Biltmore for my birthday last year. They pay for the house and we go to the beach the weekend before mother’s day for an adult girls weekend! It’s FABULOUS! Could do the same for Christmas and do like a spa weekend or mountain trip!

Best gifts are the ones I won’t buy for myself. The boutique perfume, I fell in love with on our honeymoon, that’s not available in my city anywhere. The sunglasses I find to be to much of a splurge. Love this guide! We typically do a trip in the spring as a joint gift to each other BUT we do like to open a few things with our girls. I’ve added the Bracha initial pendant necklace to my list and some workout gear that I wouldn’t buy for myself. I’m much better at giving but it’s nice to unwrap a few pretty things under the tree!

Everyone seems to love the Roomba but with dogs in the house I need that Dyson & it’s cord free so technically he’s still not breaking the promise 🙂

These are amazing! The best gift was from my MIL…a roomba. At the time, we had a dog that shed like crazy and a little boy. Now we have a toddler girl and that boy is just a little older but still makes a huge mess any time he eats. It has been great!!
Gift ideas I usually like are sentimental or experiences. For example I would love a monogrammed piece of jewelry with my sons name on it (born this yr) or I told my husband let’s do a staycation for a day to relax by a pool maybe get a massage and order room service 🤣🤣

Best gift I ever received was from my boyfriend at the time. It was our first Christmas together and he had saved little items from dates, like a ruby stone we found in the mountains, a cotton stem because he knew how much I love cotton for decor, and a picture of us and put it in a cute mason jar with a burlap bow around it. That’s by far been the best thoughtful gift I’ve ever received.

Instead of gifts my husband and I have started spending the money on trips for the two of us! The quality time and memories are way better than any gift that we could just go out and by ourself.

One of the best gifts I’ve received (and then gifted others because I loved it so much) was a subscription to Cocktail Courier. Every month, I’d get a delivery with all the ingredients for a super unique cocktail recipe. I typically only drank vodka but the subscription got me to try lots of new liqueurs, bitters, botanicals, etc. that I never would’ve picked myself. Now, I recreate my favorites for parties and holidays!

One of my favorite gifts is a gift certificate to the car wash to get my car detailed (the works). Also, tickets for a concert or play and dinner. My uncle surprised my aunt with a trip to Hawaii – she didn’t know she was going until they were at the airport. She thought they were there to bring her friend. My uncle arranged time off with her work and even packed her bags, even going into her make up bag and buying duplicates so she wouldn’t suspect anything.

I drooled over the Bissell Crosswave floor cleaner for months before my husband finally gave me the green light to get it! Hands down the best gift my husband ever got me was a purse I had basically been drooling over for months, but since by 30th birthday was coming up in January, he hid plane tickets inside and surprised me with a trip to NYC.

Honestly, I asked for a fancy rechargeable toothbrush with the antibacterial UV lights from my husband this year. Not glamorous, but I’ve always wanted it. However, it was a bit of a splurge to me. So him buying it instead makes me feel less guilty. Haha. Merry Christmas to me!

Honestly I’d really love a house cleaner. We don’t have that in our monthly budget so if my hubby bought me a couple months of house cleaning I would be sooooo happy. Adulting is fun. 🙂
I would love to have my car detailed for Christmas. I am on the road for work 3-5 days a week. There are random kernels of popcorn, wrapper pieces and bottle caps hiding beneath my seat that I don’t have time to fish them out. Nothing makes me feel fancier than stepping into a clean car in the morning… until my 11 month old blows out in her car seat and reality smacks me in the face. 😊🤮

We are planning a trip in February which I always think is a great gift!! One year my husband got me everything from Sears, (yes, many years ago!) a hair dryer, a vacuum, a toaster and a blender! He said it was all things I had been complaining about wanted to replace, haha! I thought it was funny that everything plugged in! Needless to say he has learned from his Sears shopping days!! Hahaha!! A trip, you can never go wrong at Anthropology, and lots from the Nordstrom beauty section and pjs are fav gifts!

I’d love a gift certificate to a gardening service. We live in my grandparents’ old house, and my grandad was an avid gardener. So are we, but we don’t have time for it with a toddler. I’d be thrilled to know a lawn care service was coming to take care of my giant side garden in the spring. Take out dead stuff, replace timbers, plant new stuff, mulch. I’d plan for it all winter! It would be so fun to look forward to it!

Makeup and skincare. It’s so hard to spend money on on pampering yourself, especially when you can buy so many other things for your family.
One of my favorite gifts is simple: a gift card to get my nails done and an hour or 2 to myself! Also, any type of experience gifts to do together… tickets to a game/concert, ax throwing/ropes adventures park, candle making class, happy hour bar hop around your city, etc.
Seriously, my fiancé need some help in the giftgiving department. This year for my birthday he gave me a home theater surround sound system. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very nice, during the 37 seconds I have to watch television during the day. So in honor of that gift, I’m going to give him a set of really really nice pans so he can cook my favorite meals.
Actually for him, I am building a golf swing cage with a golf simulator situation. I think he will like that. I would like the pots and pans. Or the gen five cellular enabled Apple Watch so I don’t have to carry my phone when I hike.

We try and get very creative with our Christmas gifts between my husband and I. Same as you, we have 2 birthdays and a wedding anniversary in the month of November. It can get to be a very difficult time figuring out how to make all the purchases. One year I asked him to only spend $50. He did a very good job.
Now that I’m older, 46😬, I would like things that are high quality and that I will have for years to come. A Gucci belt is on my list this year.

As of this morning I didn’t have anything big on my Christmas list this year. That was until I was sitting at Starbucks waiting for my order and a *VERY* real, *VERY* much alive MOUSE ran across the floorboards of my car. My reaction was not of the adult woman who is taking on the world caliber as I guess it should have been because people started looking at me like I had lost my ever-lovin mind. I believe the only thing that can be done is to burn the car to the ground and ask Santa for a new one. So to sum it up This Christmas (or Christmas season…like tomorrow) I need a new car because a mouse has taken mine and my ability to be seen at that Starbucks again.

My boyfriend had a custom bracelet made for me with our initials on it. It’s in my favorite color (turquoise) and I’ve worn it almost every day for the past 2 and a half years. It’s not as pretty as earrings but earrings aren’t helping clean up the tornado mess my kids made. Although there is something to be said for feeling pretty while cleaning that makes it easier. I honestly love any kind of gift card for a spa day, botox, face products that I use everyday, or mani/pedi! Also love anything that involves a trip. On the other non-romantic but just as awesome side, we got a Dyson cordless stick and I CANNOT image my life without it. Also love our robot-vac. any of those would make an amazing gift that many wouldn’t buy themselves (can you tell we’re a house full of pets?)
