Summer Family Outfits with Nordstrom

Have you heard of “celebration shopping”? You probably haven’t since it isn’t an official thing at all but rather a phrase that I have coined over the years to aid my shopping habits. Let me break it down for you. “Celebration shopping” is essentially when you hit a special goal, cross a memorable milestone or make it through a tough season in life and celebrate by buying yourself something new. There are all sorts of reasons to partake in celebration shopping but none are quite as worthy as the arrival of summer. Warm weather, summer vacations and the return of tanned skin just get me all kinds of excited to buy new outfits for me and the family.

Another reason I love Nordstrom, especially for family shopping, is because they offer free alterations. This is very helpful when you have growing kids that need straps taken up or hemlines shortened.

Last week we had my friend come over to take some photos of us at the new house to celebrate our move-in week! Anytime I am planning outfits for the family I head straight to Nordstrom because I know I can buy a bunch of options and send back what I don’t like or what doesn’t fit! I landed on this polka-dot midi dress for me, the cutest tied dresses for the girls and a lightweight button up for Zach from the Nordstrom Men’s collection.

These little drop-hem dresses for the girls are so cute and they do have it in a red print perfect for Memorial Day or the 4th of July and a floral option. I also really love these striped dresses and these floral ones! They also have worn these sandals pretty much every day!
