Happy Wednesday! I’m way behind the ball this week due to spending Spring Break with two wild little women while getting ready to move (potentially) next week. For that reason, today’s post isn’t going to be our usual fancy collage with links but just a good ole’ fashioned list of the items I think you need for Spring!
When I was in high school my dad would always give me money at the start of the fall or spring to buy whatever I needed. I was to stick to the budget, no more, no less. Well unless of course I found a sensible pair of pants that fit me in which case I was instructed to buy several pair. It really helped me budget and learn to build capsule wardrobes before capsule wardrobes were a thing!
Relying on the skilled I honed in high school, I present to you the items I think you should have in your closet this spring.

Spring Wardrobe Essentials
DENIM SHORTS // Naturally. This is my favorite pair and this is a great affordable (but slightly shorter) pair.
CHAMBRAY SHIRT // I have this shirt and love it! Wear it with jeans, skirts, white denim, you name it! See it styled here.
WEDGE ESPADRILLES // These shoes are comfortable, pair well with everything and will last you forever!
MIDI DRESS // It doesn’t have to be this midi dress but I absolutely adore this one! Just get something you could wear with sandals to the beach or with wedges and a denim jacket out to eat!
WHITE LINEN BLAZER // Wear it to work or date night paired with a dress, jeans or even (gasp) with shorts!
METALLIC SANDALS // I love metallic sandals and slides because you can wear them with shorts and a tee during the day or with jeans and a fun blouse for the evening!
NEUTRAL CROSSBODY // Get yourself an everyday, neutral crossbody and you will wear it all spring long.
UTILITY SHIRT // There are a lot of utility shirt options out there but I love this one from Topshop.
STRIPED DRESS // This easy breezy dress would effortlessly transition from church to vacation in a cinch! I also love this cute striped number!
V-NECK TEE // I LIVE in these tees all summer long. I like to buy them a size up so that I can tuck them in my jeans (french tuck), tie them in a knot or wear them long. They pair awesome with a denim or utility jacket and match any type of skirt, short or pant you could dream of.
DISTRESSED DENIM // Find a great high-rise, lighter-wash, slightly distressed pair of jeans and wear them every day with slides, sandals or sneakers!
DENIM JACKET // Denim jackets are here to stay. Buy this one. Trust me, I’ve done the research and this is the cutest, most affordable option out there! I have it in a medium!
BOHO BLOUSE // I am loving this black boho v-neck blouse and definitely think you need it or something similar for spring!
STRIPED TEE // I love this cropped version but this one is also a winner!
LEOPARD SANDALS // Animal prints on your feet have never been so popular. I have this pair and think they are fantastic.
