White and Grey Master Bedroom Reveal

It’s finally here! The end of the One Room Challenge and the reveal of our new and improved white and grey master bedroom. I’m going to be honest I didn’t think this day would ever come! Redecorating a room in six weeks on top of being a wife, mom, marketing director and blogger was a wee bit stressful. But hey, we did it! Mostly thanks to Zach who handled the big things – you know the shiplap, flooring, barn doors, painting and carpet. I handled the more frivolous but equally as stressful items like textiles, decor and placement of furniture. If you follow along on my instagram stories you know that I went back and forth about a hundred times on the decisions. I’m so thankful that I had my friend Sara of Elby Wren helping me figure out the overall layout and sourcing of items for our white and grey master bedroom. If it wasn’t for her I would have most certainly thrown in the euro sham and called it a day.

I will say I’m proud of myself for sticking with it and actually “completing” a room. Notice how completing is in quotes? That’s because I’m a firm believer that a room is never truly complete. I will tinker and adjust our white and grey master bedroom weekly for as long as we live here but in the interim there are a few things that need to happen. 1) I need a new stool for under my vanity. I want a larger square ottoman that is custom covered in fabric. 2) I have yet to let go of my dream of pinch-pleat curtains and we still need blinds. I love pinch-pleat curtains the most and while these from Pottery Barn are great I’m really wanting to get some from here. 3) We need to install the picture light above my Emily Harris Artistry pieces. Other than that I think we’re pretty much sitting pretty. And can you even wait for the bonding we’re going to have as I share outfits all the live-long day now that I have a legit selfie setup? I’m pretty excited.

  52. Susan says:

Any chance you could provide the name of the rug? I know you mentioned the link is direct, but since it’s sold out at J&M maybe I could find it on another site. Same with the vanity 🙂 Thanks!!

  53. Beth says:

    What color is that gray?
    And the white trim?

I LOVE this room! I am in the process of decorating our master bedroom and we have similar tastes! We’re actually looking into purchasing the Sumatra bed from Pottery Barn as well. I have read a couple reviews by people who have found that the finish scratches easily… and not in a good, rustic, distressed way. I am wondering if you’ve found this at all. Any thoughts would be appreciated!!! Thank you for the post… very inspiring!
