ModelCo Makeup: New at Nordstrom

As a self-proclaimed makeup aficionado, I am very excited about today’s post!! I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom to celebrate the launch of the limited Edition Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo Collection, available exclusively in the US at Nordstrom stores and online atNordstrom.com. You might not recognize the name Karl Lagerfeld right off the bat but you will definitely recognize his work as a fashion designer & the creative director over both Chanel & Fendi. Now his signature sunglasses-clad, high-fashion style has merged with the world of cosmetics. ModelCo is an Australian beauty brand known for on-trend cosmetics, natural skin care and award-winning self-tanning solutions. Their brand took off when former model agent, Shelley Sullivan, created a heated eyelash curler in 2002 and the line has evolved into an entire collection of innovative, multi-purpose beauty solutions.

This high-fashion, high-glamour collection is packed with products to illuminate your features and brighten up your look. A few standouts to me are the more brows gel crayon in light to medium, luxe highlight & glow in opal, liquid luminizer strobing pen, lip gloss in St. Tropez Sunset, eyeshadow palette, liquid eyeliner, brush on false lashes set, volumizing mascara and of course the heated eyelash curler.

I’m wearing more brows gel crayon in light to medium, liquid luminizer strobing pen, liquid eyeliner and brush on false lashes set from the new collection. I think the brows crayon is GREAT for someone who needs to fill in their brows and tame any loose hairs. The light to medium shade is almost an exact dupe to my favorite taupe liner and this product has the added bonus of a gel that thickens and grooms your existing brows with tiny microfibers. It is an excellent two in one brow combo!

I’ve seen quite a few lash fiber products on the market but have yet to try any. This brush on false lashes set was my first experience using a lash fiber and I’m kind of amazed. The premise of the product is to give you the look of false lashes in one product by using lash fibers to extend and thicken your lashes. First, you brush on a base coat of the Lash Extension mascara and then you brush on nylon lash-fibers. I was surprised when they came out white and stuck to my lashes but one swift top coat of the mascara and it secures the fibers in place as well as turns them black. After that I applied a few more coats of the mascara to get the look I desired. When using this product make sure and look downward when applying the fibers so that you don’t get the fibers in your eye.

Another item from the Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo Collection that I think you guys would enjoy is the liquid luminizer strobing pen. This limited edition strobing pen is designed for all skin types to capture and reflect light. I chose the color “opal” and applied the pen where I typically apply highlighter, to the top of my cheekbone by my eye up to the temples, to the inner corners of my eye and down the bridge of my nose. If you struggle with a powder or sponge applicator then a strobing pen would be great for you to try! It gives you a lot of control and you can easily adjust how much product to apply by clicking the end of the applicator.

Let’s talk clothes, shall we! I’m wearing an incredibly soft & under $50 black top from Nordstrom that is available in four colors. . I love the fabric and the neckline but I really love that the full sleeves won’t fall down the second you reach your arm across a table or above your head. I have quite a few bell sleeve tops and it can be tricky when I’m trying to feed the girls and my sleeve is falling into the meal. The fullness on these sleeves is created by extra fabric that is sewn back to the sleeve underneath to hold it’s shape. I paired this top with my favorite pair of high-rise jeans for a casual look that can transition all summer long. I love the button-front, slight distressing and 10″ high-rise on these jeans as well as the drop-hem. They look great with sandals, flats and this new pair of neutral wedges. These shoes are SO comfy and are sure to be a closet staple all summer long.
