Last Minute Mother’s Day Gifts

This one goes out to all of you procrastinators. Don’t worry, it’s not too late to order Mom a last-minute Mother’s Day gift she’ll love, but there’s no time left to wait! Believe me, I know what it’s like when you wait until the last minute, ruin your chance at getting a gift shipped in time, and end up sorting through picked-over gifts in-store or worse: you’re left with no other choice than to re-gift something you already have on hand.

To make your last-minute shopping as easy as possible (and to make sure all the mamas out there don’t have to sleep at night knowing they raised a procrastinator) I’ve organized gifts into 3 categories: Thoughtful, Subscriptions & Quick Shipping.

THOUGHTFUL MOTHER’S DAY GIFTS

A while back I asked my followers to share what they were gifting their moms for Mother’s Day, or what they hope to be gifted by their kiddos. Like the wonderful mothers they are, a lot of them suggested creating opportunities to spend quality time together. Here are some of the responses they gave:

  1. Spa Day: treat mom to mani-pedis or a massage, and be sure to bring supplies for mimosas! You could even throw in a new robe or some skincare goodies to treat her.
  2. Cleaning spree: I love this idea for moms with teens or pre-teens who feel like they never get a break. Send your mom off on a date with her hubby (or for some me time..either sounds divine) and while she’s gone DEEP. CLEAN. EVERYTHING. Take her car for a wash and detail, deep clean the house, do the laundry, etc. You could even choose to bring in the pros for this!
  3. Cooking class: sign yourself + the mom in your life up for a cooking class, or even a sip & paint ordeal. Treat her to a nice bottle of her favorite wine, or if you’re looking to splurge, a fancy mixer (on sale!) or Le Creuset dishware.
  4. Weekend at the beach: if you live within driving distance of the beach, plan a weekend getaway with Mom. Buy her a new beach chair, a few magazines, and a great beach read and you’re all set!

SUBSCRIPTIONS

One thing that I love to gift at any time of the year is a subscription! You can’t go wrong with a few Home Chef meals (new customers can get 50% off your first 4 boxes – that’s 18 FREE meals with code CRISTIN50OFF), beautiful flowers from Grace Rose Farms or a summer subscription from McCleod Peaches (use code CRISTIN20 for 20% off peach delivery until 6/30/23)! Dry Farms Wine is another great subscription service and Southern Living is always a crowd favorite. If mom is a beauty lover, I love the Dermstore BeautyFix boxes!!

QUICK SHIPPING FROM THE SHOPPE

Here are a few of my favorite gift ideas that are perfect for Mother’s Day from Cooper at Home (get 10% off with code CRISTIN)! Orders placed by 2pm EST ship out the next day so as long as you order today or tomorrow and select the appropriate shipping speed you will have them in time!

I got my mom a cookbook from a favorite author and will be taking her to our favorite greenhouse to pick out some flowers. We’ll also have lunch after church Sunday. As for me, I told my husband I wanted to sit alone in a dark room for at least 20 minutes. LOL I have a toddler! He thought I wanted family time for Mother’s Day. NERP! Just don’t touch me or ask me for anything for about 20 minutes. I would also like to go to the bathroom alone. That would be perfect.

Our moms deserve more than a gift. To make your last minute shopping, flowers are the best idea. Or else you can treat her with spa time, or by spending a day with her.
