This one goes out to all you procrastinators. Don’t worry, it’s not too late to order Mom a last minute Mother’s Day gift she’ll love, but there’s no time left to wait! Believe me, I know what it’s like when you wait until the last minute, ruin your chance at getting a gift shipped in time, and end up sorting through picked over gifts in store or worse: you’re left with no other choice than to re-gift something you already have on hand.
Our moms deserve more than a re-gifted candle this Mother’s Day. To make your last minute shopping as easy as possible (and to make sure all the mamas out there don’t have to sleep at night knowing they raised a procrastinator) I’ve organized gifts into 3 categories: Thoughtful, Luxe, and Budget Friendly.
Thoughtful Mother’s Day Gifts
These ideas are brought to you by the ladies on my Facebook page. A while back I asked my followers on Facebook to share what they were gifting their moms for Mother’s Day, or what they hope to be gifted by their kiddos. Like the wonderful mothers they are, a lot of them suggested creating opportunities to spend quality time together. Here are some of the responses they gave:
- Spa Day: treat mom to mani pedis or a massage, and be sure to bring supplies for mimosas! You could even throw in a new robe or some skincare goodies to treat her.
- Cleaning spree: I love this idea for moms with teens or pre-teens who feel like they never get a break. Send your mom off on a date with her hubby (or for some me time..either sounds divine) and while she’s gone DEEP. CLEAN. EVERYTHING. Take her car for a wash and detail, deep clean the house, do the laundry, etc. You could even choose to bring in the pros for this!
- Cooking class: sign yourself + the mom in your life up for a cooking class, or even a sip & paint ordeal. Treat her to a nice bottle of her favorite wine, or if you’re looking to splurge, a fancy mixer (on sale!) or Le Creuset dish ware.
- Weekend at the beach: if you live driving distance to the beach, plan a weekend getaway with Mom. Buy her a new beach chair, a few magazines, and a great beach read and you’re all set!
Luxe Mother’s Day Gifts
For those of you who are really looking to treat your mama this year, these options are more high end/designer and are guaranteed to make her jaw drop to the floor.
Budget Friendly Mother’s Day Gifts ($65 or less)
And last and, well, least (in terms of price anyways) is the more budget friendly option. All of these items are $65 or less and are both thoughtful AND useful. You can’t go with any of these goodies.
A hint for all of you stressing to get your gifts here by Sunday: all the items from ShopBop are eligible for Amazon Prime shipping! Okay, now it’s your turn. Tell me what you got your mom for mother’s day this year! OR even better, tell me the best mother’s day gift you’ve ever received! GO.
