July Beauty Favorites

What a busy week it has been for the blog!! We’ve discussed the Nordstrom Sale, talked all about my lasering + microneedling, had a packing session and cute summer outfits with Draper James. Now it’s time for a little “me time” aka dishing all things beauty. As you all should know by now I’m a self-professed hoarder of beauty products and beauty samples. I love drugstore staples and luxury products alike and I could play around at the beauty counter all the livelong day. So imaging my excitement when I met this cute mama who not only shares my love of all things makeup and skincare but who is actually a trained professional. We have so much in common in real life, wear a lot of the same makeup shades (this is very important for a makeup friendship) and basically just have whatever the girl version is of a bromance. Girl crush? Idk.

Since we’re both busy working mamas who blog on the side (her blog is LindseyReganThorne.com) we decided to team up each month and share our current beauty favorites. If you watched my instagram live last week you know that our plan is to meet up once a month and record ourselves going through each others favorites as well as doing a mini-makeover or ten. The first go was a little rough to say the least but I’m bound and determined to get it loaded to YouTube THIS WEEK. If you know an editing genius that can take all my videos and make them pretty hit me up. Until then keep checking back here or follow along on instagram stories and I’ll let you know when it’s live. For now you can shop my July beauty must-haves below and check out Lindsey’s favorites here.

JULY BEAUTY FAVORITES

ONE – I wear this It Cosmetics CC Cream in Light every. single. day. It is miraculous! I love that you can apply it lightly or really cake it on for a lot of coverage. It doesn’t smell weird, doesn’t look heavy on and lasts a really long time.

TWO – If you’ve caught me on instagram lately I most likely am wearing this Naked2 Basics Pallette on my lids. As I try to up my glow game on my skin with highlighters and illuminating creams I try to keep my eyes on the normal side and these matte neutrals do the trick. I love every single shade and they all mix and match so well! Plus the size is perfect to throw in a travel bag!

THREE – My concealer of choice this month has been this Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Creme Brule. I think it’s the perfect combination of thick enough to cover and light enough to not look like it’s caked on. I’ve been wearing down the bridge of my nose, under my eyes, on my upper lip and dotted here and there to cover up blemishes.

FOURL’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Gloss in Nude Touch. Lindsey is actually who first told me about this. I wear it daily and order it from Amazon because sometimes you can’t find this exact color in stores.

FIVE – Praise the Lord for this setting powder from Laura Mercier. I wear the translucent shade and dust it over my forehead, chin and under eyes to help set makeup and reduce unwanted shine.

SIX – I have worn this Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact on and off for over a decade. I love it in Pink Quartz but lately I’ve been wearing Rose for a pretty pink blush.

Two other items not included in my July roundup but that are definitely on the “favorites” list would be this cleansing balm from Colleen Rothschild and these Hydra-Gel Eye Patches by Peter Thomas Roth. They are expensive but I’ve been wearing them for about 3 weeks and I still haven’t even breached the surface of the container. Read about all of my favorite Colleen Rothschild projects on this post and use the discount code TSSG20 off of any full-priced item on their site for 20% off!

Hey! Just bought It CC cream because I have read on several blogs how awesome it is. How do you apply it? Do you use the brush that “It” sells or something else?
