Skirt: J.Crew | Top: J.Crew (On Sale) | Shoes: Vince Culmuto | Purse: Forever 21 (Similar here) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Bangles: Bourbon & Boweties | Watch: Michael Kors
I’m a big fan of the shirt tucked into a skirt look. As seen
here,
here, and
here. Partly because it fits my smaller in the middle body type but mostly because its an easy way to get endless wear out of my clothes. For example
this skirt I could wear like this, with a
chambray top tucked in or with a
tee or
tank tucked in and with any number colored blouses. And then
this linen top I can wear with other skirts, short, jeans, you get the picture.
I think if you build up a closet of versatile skirts and tops you just never run out of things to wear. I especially love the colors of this
tulip skirt from J.Crew because a) navy is always a classic and b) there are enough hues in the pops of color to wear from the spring time into the fall. On the other hand
this linen shirt you would want to save for the summer months but the classic red makes it an easy choice for everything from backyard BBQs to 4th of July festivities.
The other great thing about this skirt is that it’s longer but it crosses in the front and sort of wraps so it doesn’t cut off us shorter gals at the knees. Worn with
Vince Culmuto pumps and a neutral cross-body and you’re ready for anything from a baby shower to a date night on the town.
