Hi friends! TodayI am giving you a sneak peak of ourhouse all decked out for Christmas! If you keep up with me on Instagram or Insta-stories you know that I shot these photos a couple of weeks ago. However, Christmasshopping has gotten the best of me and I finally took the time last nightto sit down and finish this post! I’ve tried to link up as much of theitems as possible but if you have any specific questions of something I overlooked leave a comment and I will be happy to hunt it down for you.
The Fireplace
Our fireplace isright below a hugeTV in our living room. Thismakes decorating the mantle a little tricky because I only have around 5 inches between the top of the mantle and the TV. To start I put garland down and tuck it around 3m hooks I’ve placed strategically to keep it from falling off. Then I tuck inmini spraysto pretty it up and battery operatedrice lightsfor a little twinkle. My stockings are also held up by 3m hooks and then decorated withthese ornaments.I’ve had cute metal stocking holders in years past but now that I live with little monsters I’m terrified they will rip thestockingsdown and a metal reindeer will split their head right open. I think that decorative holders are so cute but I would much rather have a 3m hook holding up my stockings than a Christmas trip to the ER.

The Tree
We have a pre-lit fake treepartly for the convenience and mostly because we are OCD and ain’t nobody got time to vacuum pine needles every day. I do the best I can to make it look natural by tucking in even more of thosemini spraysfound at Hobby Lobby for about $1.50 each and then twigs, twigs and more twigs. This year I used astar tree topper from Targetandstriped tree skirt. Theplaid ornamentsandcandy cane ornamentscame from Pottery Barn and all of my wrapping paper isSugar Paper LA.

The day I took these photos we were having our annual adult gingerbread decorating party. I set up a drink station on agalvanized traycomplete with prosecco, red wine & adecanter. I found the Cheers straws at Target and thesecandy cane stirrersat Pottery Barn.

The Details
Other than the fireplace, tree and dining room table I like to have a couple of other details spread around. Our floor plan is really open with the kitchen, dining room and living room all connected so to decorate the sittingarea I addedthisbelieve pillow& thismerry christmas pillowalong with ourfur throwto the couch.I also like to keep all of the Christmas magazines I get and put those on our coffee table. For my daughters ornaments they have made I put up this really cheapartificial treeon our stairs which are covered in shiplap.

The Porch
Our porch decor is pretty simple. My plan for post-Christmas shopping is to snag some pre-lit garland on sale so that I can place it around the door frame next year. For this year I put a bigwreathon the door complete with a bow I made out of plaidribbonfromPottery Barn. I found this cutedoor matat Target and we putpre-lit treesin our planters.

The Dining Room
Our tree is set up in the dining room to shield it as much as possible from littlehands ripping all of the ornamentsoff all the livelong day. On our sideboard I put an olive woodnativity I got in Jerusalem flanked bymini trees.I love a good tablescape andthis year mademybread bowlthe centerpiece. I filled it withred & gold ornamentssitting on top of balled up red tissue paperto help give it height and fullness. On either side of thebread bowlI put twoberry candle holdersfilled with chopped up wooden accents. For the place-settings I used my redplacemats, vietri dinner platesand these really cutefa-la-la platestopped with candy canes. To tie up the utensils I used wrapping papertagswhich you could also use as name cards.
