How I’m Depuffing and Slimming my Face

Now, let’s talk about puffiness. It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of facial contouring. I can look at a container of salt and retain water and as I’m getting a tad older I want to make sure that I’m keeping my face slim and tone. Lately, I’ve been relying heavily on a few standout skincare products and two of my most trusted tools. In today’s blog post I’m sharing all of my favorite toning and tightening items from Nordstrom Beauty and how I use them to reduce inflammation and slim my face. How I Depuff My Face

Tone and Gua Sha

NUFACE® Mini Facial Toning Device // Any time I share a strange looking gadget on my page, I get asked if it “works”. Let me cut straight to the chase… the Nu-Face works! This FDA-cleared facial toning device is a microcurrent massager that stimulates facial muscles for a natural lift & contour! It is crazy how regular use can improve the look and tone of your skin! Essentially it is like working out your face muscles. If you are worried about sagging jowls or losing tone in your face, get this device! I try to use it 3 times a week. 

Skin Gym Rose Quartz Workout Set // A Gua Sha is one of the best tools that you can use to help contour your face and work out lymphatic drainage. I actually went to Skin Gym when I was in LA last fall and my mind was blown! This facial workout kit by Skin Gym includes a facial roller and a Gua Sha Sculpty Tool. You can keep the facial roller in the fridge and GENTLY roll over your under-eyes for instant depuffing. I love doing this over an eye patch. You can also use along the contour of your jaw to help release facial tension. Both of these items pair perfectly with any facial oil you want to use. (I love this one.) 

A Gua-Sha tool can effectively increase blood flow, drain the lymphatic system and give a subtle lift. Translated directly as “scraping,” the traditional Chinese skincare tool is meant to be moved over the skin in quick motions. If you don’t know how, there are plenty of tutorials online if you are interested in learning the proper face slimming technique! I personally prefer to use a Gua-Sha in the morning if I’m interested in maximum facial slimming.

111SKIN Sub-Zero De-Puffing Energy Mask // In general, I don’t think a mask helps to depuff your face as well as a tool, with the Clarins V-Facial Intensive Wrap and this mask being the exception. While this hydrogel mask absolutely helps reduce signs of puffiness, improve the appearance of your pores and tighten skin’s firmness, I just wouldn’t buy it again because of the price. It is essentially a facial in a face mask but just without the relaxation or someone else pampering your skin.

Fight Inflammation & Improve Circulation

SKIN GYM IceCoolie Ice Therapy Device // Do not underestimate an ice roller to help to depuff your face. Ice rollers not only help contour and reduce the appearance of pores, they also help to fight redness, reduce puffiness, and also help with inflammation. Not only do ice rollers give you an immediate toned and lifted effect, but they also help with anti-aging and prolonged results. This is because of the cold temperature’s ability to help with inflammation which can lead to aging, redness and premature aging. Of all my skincare devices, the ice roller is one of my favorites.

DePuff Eyes

CLARINS Eye Contour Gel // If you are looking for a cooling eye gel to minimize puffiness and dark circles, I would recommend this! However, I will stand by my claim that the best thing you can do to depuff your under-eye is to keep eye masks in the fridge! I also really want to try this CLÉ DE PEAU BEAUTÉ Enhancing Eye Contour Cream Supreme for what it’s worth.

WANDER BEAUTY Baggage Claim Gold Eye Masks // I will stand by my stance that the very best thing you can do to depuff your under eyes is keep eye masks in the fridge and use them with an ice roller. These eye masks were created for the girl on the go and stay on better than any other eye mask I’m reviewing today. I wear them frequently when I take the girls to school!

They will calm your skin, decrease puffiness and work to lighten undereye circles.
