Clean Beauty: Native Deodorant

Welcome to week one of my clean beauty series! Today we’re talking about a big one, natural deodorant. Yikes! Just saying the word natural with the word deodorant makes me furrow my brow in suspicion. I’ve long heard of the dangers of aluminum and harmful chemicals in your pits but in all honestly the ones I have tried have either felt like I was applying a glue stick to my underarms, smelled like dead leaves or left me smelling like a cow after one workout. Today I’m going to talk about a brand that I’ve found that has finally cracked the code to natural deodorant and that’s Native.

Native Deodorant Classic Scent Sample Pack

I first became aware of Native via ads on the internet and after clicking through to their website I was excited to see that their products are made with ingredients I actually could pronounce like coconut oil, shea butter, vitamin E and baking soda. I was also excited to see that they carried cucumber & mint scented deodorant because cucumber has been my scent of choice for well over a decade. Another bonus is that the products are made in the USA and the company was started by a woman in an effort to find safer options for her pregnant sister. As a woman-owned business I love supporting other women-owned businesses!

If you’re the type of person that will go natural at any cost you might already be sold. I, however, am the type of person that tiptoes the line of “natural” beauty. Will I wear natural products? Sure! Will I wear them if they are terrible or don’t serve the purpose of said product, no way. I’m here to tell you that I was super skeptical when I ordered this deodorant but I ordered any way because a small part of me was determined to find a natural deodorant that was worth a crap. After all, I wear deodorant every day. Even on the days that I don’t wear makeup I’m putting it on. That is a LOT of deodorant through the years! I figured if I could find one product I liked then maybe it could help counteract all the chemical peels I get for my sun spots. Just keeping it real, guys, just keeping it real. Like any true skeptic, I ordered the sample pack to sniff as many as I could before I tried.

I’m happy to report that I’ve worn this every day for over a month and so far so good. In fact I like it so much that I’ve teamed up with Native today to talk about their brand with you guys. I love Native’s deodorant because it applies good, it stays on and it doesn’t have a weird smell or leave me with a weird smell. My favorite scent is the cucumber & mint but I also love the coconut & vanilla too. I truly think that you would like it! If you don’t want to take my word for it you could easily check out these stellar reviews. You could even order a sampler pack and split it with two of your friends.

Have you tried Native Deodorant yet? Their website is very user-friendly and it didn’t take long at all to get the products. Not only can chose from classic scents, seasonal scents & sample packs but they also carry men’s deodorant, sensitive deodorants & soaps! If you order I would love to hear if it works for you as well!

I just recently switched to this brand in July and have loved it as well. I’ve tried Toms and other natural deodorants and to be honest they smelled horrible which in turn made me smell horrible so I was glad to find one that actually worked and smelled good.

I agree with Jennifer…Toms smells funny and makes me feel like I do too! I like the Schmidts’s, but it takes off a layer of skin every time I use it. Will give Native a try.
