Best makeup from Sephora

A couple of weeks ago I did a little shopping for my trip to New York and naturally I made a visit to Sephora. I’ve been saving up some funds to refresh my makeup stash and I was pretty excited about it to say the least. I could get lost in Sephora for hours and hours reading all the labels and browsing the products. The only thing that would make it better was if they had food samples. After about an hour of late-night-no-children browsing and chatting with all the helpful employees here are the items I settled on.

Top Left: Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

This setting powder has sheer coverage and leaves your skin with a natural matte finish. I’ve been using a beauty blender with my foundation and it covers so well that it feels a little much to put a powder on top of that too. Now I save my powder for days when I wear just my BB cream and then I put this loose setting powder on to finish my makeup and hide all the undesired shine. Then I go back on and add back shine with my favorite contour kit because I’m crazy like that.

Top Center: Sugar Cream Lip Treatment by Fresh

I talked about this on my snapchat earlier in the week but incase you missed it this is becoming my new favorite product for chapped lips. Whenever the season change or I’m traveling alot my lips get super chapped. Since they take up a large portion of my face I’m really paranoid about keeping them?under control. This lip treatment helps with dryness, dullness and uneven texture with a creamy color gloss. The formula is enriched with sugar, a natural humectant, antioxidant-rich vitamins E and C, and a moisturizing blend of oils that soften and smooth the lips for 6 hours! The color I have is buff but there are two other options as well.

Top Right: Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Concealer in Sand

Confession: if I could wear one makeup for the rest of my life it would be Bobbi Brown. The first time I bought nice makeup it was Bobbi Brown. On my wedding day, you guessed it, I wore all Bobbi Brown. In a nutshell, when it counts I turn to Bobbi Brown. And these days concealing those dark circles under my eyes really matters to me. This serum + concealer in one is a dream. It is made with a blend of Cordyceps Mushroom, Indian Tree Root, and Bamboo Grass which means that?a ton of natural goodness goes in to helping to reduce my dark circles leaving my skin plumper and smoother in the process.

Middle: Becca X Jacklyn Hill Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector

So the gal at Sephora told me about this one and I really love it. I have been using different highlighters but they are all a little too cool for me. I like to have more golden tones in my makeup and was on the market for a good highlighter. This duo (I got the Champagne Pop / Flowerchild combo) works to sculpt your cheeks and highlight your brown bones, bridge of your nose, you name it!

Bottom Left: Tarte Tartlette Eyeshadow Palette in Boom Clay

Oh my gosh this palette. All other eye shadow palettes need not apply, this one has every color you would ever need. There are nine matte colors and three lusters that you can mix and match and create any look you’re going for. All of the colors are amazing but lately I’ve been wearing funny girl, firecracker, leader and activist on repeat!

Bottom Center: Yves Saint Laurent Limited Edition Lipstick in 70 Le Nu

The prettiest packaging and the creamiest color. I love how this lipstick feels, looks and leaves my lips silky smooth. I mean who can resist a gold glitter lipstick tube? Not I.

Bottom Right: Jason Wu for Caudalie Beauty Elixir

This one is the MVP. You spritz it on your face and, get ready for it, it tones, sets your makeup, provides instant radiance and TIGHTENS THE APPEARANCE OF PORES. If I was holding a mic right now this is where I would drop it. You’re welcome America.
