WHAT’S IN MY MAKEUP BAG: FEBRUARY
GENIUS Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream // This moisturizer is new to my collection and I’m very hopeful about the results I’m going to see. Alguronic acid is the key ingredient in this anti-aging cream because it is said to be six times more hydrating than hyaluronic acid. Alguronic acid also boost the efficacy of the active ingredients in your skincare like retinols and vitamin c. This product is also said to help with inflammation that leads to acne and redness due to it’s plant-based ingredients. I am testing it morning and night after my retinol and vitamin c serum and in place of my moisturizer.
Revision Skincare Black Mask // I have been using this mask once a week to help unclog pores and absorb excess oil. It contains Silt from Eurpoean freshwater lakes that purifies your skin and helps the appearance of pores. I typically use this after and exfoliating mask to really deep clean my pores!
Vitamin C? Eyecream // This is another product that I’ve been trying ever since Obagi launched at Sephora. I apply in the morning and evening and it is supposed to help with dark circles, fine lines, wrinkles and elasticity. So far I really like it!
Lip Sleeping Mask // If you don’t buy anything else from this post, buy this product! This sleeping mask takes your lips from chapped and dehydrated to silky smooth overnight! It’s looks as pretty as it feels when you apply it and it really works!
BECCA Undereye Brightening Corrector // I’ve been applying this under my concealer as a primer. You only need a tiny dab right where your eyes are darkest and then you apply your concealer as normal. I find that it helps brighten my under-eye area and helps my concealer stay put for longer.
Hollywood Beauty Highlighter // One of my top 5 beauty products! I apply to my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose and in the inner corner of my eyes as the last step of my makeup routine. The only step I would do after this is to set my makeup with a setting spray.
Magic Eye Rescue Cream // I love this eye cream for days or time when I’m applying a full face of makeup. You could absolutely use it every day but I just especially love it layered under a corrector and then a concealer. The reason I like it for layering is because it is EXTREMELY hydrating thanks to the coconut oil and shea butter mix. It reduces puffiness, brightens hard circles and has retinol to boost the rejuvenation of cells and stimulate collagen.
Eyeshadow Palette // These eyeshadow palettes have quickly become my favorite. The colors are so natural, the size is perfect and you can mix and match the shades to achieve the desired level of glam. My favorite colors are the Dolce Vita, the Golden Goddess and I just ordered the new Pillowtalk shade to try!
Charlottes Genius Magic Powder // I’ve been trying out this setting powder so that I can compare it agains the Becca Hydra-Mist and the Laura Mercier Translucent setting powder. So far I’m a fan!
Voluminous Superstar Mascara // My ride or die mascara. I’m going to include in every month until I convert you all! Get color “blackest black”, apply a coat of primer and let it almost dry before adding on a coat or three of the mascara for instantly glam lashes!
Magic Away Concealer // This is an excellent concealer and a great alternative to Shape Tape. It’s not as thick as shape tape and has a silky luminous coverage. I love using it on days when I’m wearing a CC cream and mascara but need a little concealer as well! I wear shade 5.
