Lake season is here and I am ready for weekends spent on the boat thanks to Backcountry! We buy pretty much all of our outdoor gear from Backcountry because they have the best selection around, free 2-day shipping on US orders over $50 and unbeatable customer service. Backcountry carries our favorite warm-weather brands like Maaji, Ray-Ban, YETI, great summer finds like rashguards for women and girls, coolers, and more. They even carry an impressive selection of paddle boards! (I want this one.) Today, I’m sharing 8 of my lake essentials that I purchased from Backcountry, swimwear for the entire family and my edit of their Memorial Day Sale that started today! If you see something you love that isn’t on sale, you can save 15% off on your first order at Backcountry.com with code CRISTIN15 (exclusions apply).
8 Lake Essentials from Backcountry
Black One-Piece Swimsuit // This has been one of my favorite one-piece swimsuits! A one-piece is essential if you plan on tubing with the kids and black is great for the lake because you know it won’t fade or turn. I love the v-neck detailing and the booty coverage on this one. This swimsuit is another great option!
Comfortable Cover-up // A coverup that you can easily throw on and off is a must and I personally love one with long sleeves when I am on the boat. This coverup is my new favorite. I love the sleeves that can roll, the hood and the breezy fabric. If you are more of a sun-shirt person then I highly recommend this one. It is SPF 50+ and comes in several color options!
Wide-Brimmed Hat // I always take this hat with me on the boat. When we are riding around I will throw on a trucker hat but I keep this straw one in my bag for when we stop to float around or let the kids play, or dock and head to the pool. This has been my favorite sun hat for 4 summers running and I just replaced it for the first time this year! I wear a medium and highly recommend it!
Ray-Bans // If you are looking for comfortable lake glasses that will fit under any hat you throw on, get these Ray-Bans. They are my go-to each summer for when I know I will be wearing a hat all day. Zach loves these!
Backpack cooler // We always pack this backpack cooler for the boat! It is easy to carry around, fits behind the chairs and is great for getting drinks, snacks and sandwiches out with the easy zip top. Plus, it keeps everything cold for hours on end.
Beach Towels // These organic cotton towels are oversized, super absorbent and come in the best patterns!
Dog life jacket // A life jacket is the most essential piece of lake gear, even for your dog. You might have seen Charlie rocking this sweet life jacket. He can swim great but I like the peace of mind that comes with knowing he will stand out in the water if he were to fall off (or jump off) while we were driving.
