Last weekend Zach and I took a whirlwind trip to San Francisco with ShopStyle for a Warriors game! We arrived Saturday at noon and flew home Sunday night on the red-eye so needless to say we didn’t have too much time for sightseeing, shopping or sleeping (my three favorite activities). But we did have a ton of fun with the ShopStyle team talking business, taking boomerangs and laughing non-stop.
FIRST THINGS FIRST
Hi my name is Cristin & I need food. I’m one of those people that always wants to eat new places and try new dishes when I travel. I’ll stumble off the plane nearly famished and dizzy from low blood sugar before I’ll eat some stale turkey sandwich mid-flight. I was a little stressed when we arrived because we were pressed for time and I didn’t get to fully plan out my attack on lunch. It was 4pm on our EST internal clock and we needed food STAT so we asked the concierge at the hotel where the best Thai food was that we could walk to quickly. He said that they all love Chabaa, a dive around the block with not a ton of room but an overload of flavor. It was a tiny spot with every Thai dish you could ask for and it hit the spot!
THE HOTEL
ShopStyle booked Hotel Zepplin for the weekend and it was incredible! It’s a funky little boutique hotel a stone’s throw from Union Square and within walking distance to a ton of spots. They have a trendy lobby with a lovely area to sit and drink coffee or get some work done and a really pretty bar to have a cocktail in the afternoon. There is a huge game room downstairs, a small but adequate gym to workout in or if you prefer bikes to rent so you can explore the city. Another great thing about this hotel is that they have room service provided by the hotel’s restaurant.
THE ROOM
Our room was full of modern amenities like a mini bar, Nespresso, free wifi, a huge flat screen TV & two closets with full length mirrors. I’m sorry but it’s 2018. If I have to stand on a toilet to see if my shoes match my outfit then I just can’t stay at your hotel. And if I don’t have enough spots to hang my clothes or put away my trinkets then I just can’t relax. Is anyone else like that? I have to completely unpack the second I get into a hotel! We weren’t in the room very long because we only stayed one night and were on the go non-stop but it would have been a great place to relax and unwind. There was a sitting area in front of three large bay windows with a cute view that I could have sat at and drank the entire stash of Nespresso pods.
THE GAME
When we got to the room ShopStyle had us the sweetest care package complete with customized jerseys for us to wear to the game. They really thought of every little detail and spoiled us non-stop. A car service picked us up to take us to the Warriors game and it was incredible! We entered with all the fancy folks through the VIP entrance, sat in a suite, went on the floor to take picture and enjoyed a great game of basketball that came down to the wire.
Admittedly I was a little nervous to meet the other bloggers, youtubers and influencers that ShopStyle had also invited but everyone was so very nice & down-to-earth. It was a totally laid back atmosphere and we really enjoyed our time with all of them and their plus ones. The entire team from ShopStyle that was there could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. I was so impressed with everything from their hospitality and friendliness to their intelligence and business insights.
OUTFIT DETAILS: JACKET (Same brand, different color buttons, size up), JEANS (So soft!), LEOPARD HEELS (Available in a ton of colors and comfy to walk in), QUILTED BAG
(Zach’s entire outfit other than his Nike’s is from Jordan Lash in Charleston)
THE BRUNCH
The next morning we had an intimate brunch at Flores with the ShopStyle team and representatives from brands including, wait for it, Sephora. Talking makeup and marketing with a side of tacos = living my best life no doubt.
After brunch we headed to The Palm House to watch the Masters. The restaurant was like walking into Key West or some beautiful joint in the Caribbean. They have crazy tropical drinks decorated with cute straws and fresh flowers. It is a REALLY cool spot if you are ever in San Francisco for a celebration like a bachelorette party or a birthday or a Tuesday. Later that afternoon we went shopping, at some really incredible Japanese food at Roka Akur and headed to the airport for a terrible red-eye. Seriously, remind me never to fly through the night again.
OUTFIT DETAILS: DRESS (I also packed this one and this one), JACKET (Half off!), SHOES, BANDANA, BAG, SUNGLASSES
Hope you enjoyed this recap and thank you again for an incredible weekend, ShopStyle!
Looks like a fun (quick) trip! And honestly, I’ve never seen someone make a jersey look so stylish!
