At what age did you officially graduate from the kids’ table? By the looks of this one, I wish I never had! All parents know having a space for kids is a great and necessary idea around the holidays. If you’re planning an elaborate dinner, the last thing you need is to worry about your kids knocking over the fine China while you’re dressing the turkey. Keeping little ones occupied in their own space is key, and this table is set up to do just that.
I partnered up with my friend Mary of Mrs. Southern Social to design this kids’ table perfect for Thanksgiving! We started with a tablecloththat was made for coloring (shoutout to Amazon) so kids will be plenty distracted while you have some much needed grown up time. Plus, with the cutest paper plates, plastic cups, and disposable flatware from At Home Stores, you’re doing your due diligence to prevent any potential breakage and to provide for easy cleanup. Instead of trying to keep the kids from messing with the centerpieces, we suggest creating a tablescape that is as kid-friendly as it is cute. We first lined the tables with faux pumpkins from Hot Pink Gifts (bonus points for arranging them in an ombre pattern) and sprinkled in all the crayons a kid could ever want. We finished the arrangement by anchoring the colorful runner of pumpkins and crayons with a sentimental statement centerpiece from Turkey on the Table, a creative way to help your kids practice thankfulness and giving back during the holidays.
