Simmer Pot Recipe

Simmer Pot Ingredients + Printable

My tiny elves & I made some stovetop Christmas potpourri for family & friends. Such a simple gift idea or something to prep ahead for your own home. Here is what we used and the link to the printable I made that you can customize for yourself!

Here is what we did:
– Dehydrate orange slices & cranberries in the oven on 200º on a sheet of parchment paper. (I layer the oranges on a cooling rack so as they dry they drip their juice onto the cranberries below.) The time it takes to dehydrate will depend on how thin you sliced but it takes several hours. You can also buy pre-dehydrated oranges here or use a dehydrator. For the dehydrator I dehydrated on 100 degrees until they were done…. I think I set it for 4 hours the first time. And you can just use fresh cranberries if you prefer but the mixture won’t last as long for people you give them to.
– Assemble the ingredients in small mason jars or cellophane bags. We used oranges, cranberries, cinnamon stickscloves & rosemary we cut from the garden. You can also add lemons, a dash of vanilla, or nutmeg.
– Tie them up with a ribbon & a gift tag. I bought these!
