Most-Used Baby Items I Always Recommend (From a Mom of Four)

After four babies and 13 years of diapers, late-night feeds, car seats, and more baby gear than I ever imagined owning, I can confidently say this: you don’t need everything — but the right things make a huge difference.

So much has changed since our first baby (hello smarter monitors, better travel gear, and actually stylish baby essentials), but these are the items I consistently come back to and recommend to new moms. They’re practical, thoughtfully designed, and genuinely make everyday life with a baby smoother — whether it’s your first or your fourth.

Here’s the shortlist of what we actually used, loved, and would absolutely buy again.

My Go-To Baby Essentials

Hatch Go // A portable sound machine that’s perfect for naps on the go, travel, stroller walks, or moving baby from room to room without disrupting sleep routines.

SlumberPod // One of my top travel essentials. It creates a dark, cozy sleep space anywhere — hotel rooms, grandparents’ houses, vacation rentals — and makes sharing rooms with a baby so much easier.

Night Light // A soft night light is essential for middle-of-the-night feeds and diaper changes. Enough light to see, but not enough to fully wake baby (or you).

Bouncer // Every baby stage needs a safe “put baby down for a minute” option. A simple bouncer is invaluable for showers, cooking, or just giving your arms a break.

Portable Chair // Perfect once baby starts sitting. Great for travel, restaurants, or visiting friends when a high chair isn’t available.

Nuna Travel Crib // Easy setup, sleek design, and genuinely comfortable for baby. This is one of the few travel cribs that doesn’t feel like a compromise.

Artipoppe Baby Carrier // One of my all-time favorite baby carriers. It’s comfortable in both warm and cooler weather, easy on my shoulders for longer wears, and hands-down the best carrier I’ve personally tried. Functional, beautiful, and something I reached for constantly during the baby years.

Seagrass Basket // My favorite stylish storage solution for burp cloths, diapers, or breastfeeding essentials. Functional but still fits a curated home aesthetic.

Nuna Car Seat // Lightweight, safe, and beautifully designed. Nuna consistently nails the balance between function and style.

Stroller Fan // Especially living in the South, this is a must. Keeps baby cool on walks, errands, and outdoor events.

Pacifiers // Sometimes simple is best. Having a few trusted pacifiers on hand is always worth it.

Milk Storage Bags // Reliable, space-saving, and essential if you’re pumping or building a freezer stash.

Nuna Stroller // Smooth ride, easy fold, and durable enough for everyday use plus travel. One of those investments that truly pays off.

Bassinet // Having baby close those early months makes nighttime feeding so much easier. A bedside bassinet is a sanity saver.

Bottle Sterilizer // Saves time and removes the guesswork. Especially helpful during those newborn weeks when everything feels nonstop.
