Mixed Prints for Fall

A quick PSA before we begin today’s post! Nordstrom is having triple point through 9/24 which means those Nordstrom rewards will rack up even fast for Nordstrom card holders. Click through below to see some of my favorite pics for fall!

A lot of the makeup that I wear is also on sale and you can get triple points!

In today’s world of “everybody is a blogger” I sometimes find it hard to pin point exactly where I fit in. I definitely don’t consider myself a “fashion blogger” because I don’t chase runway trends, I don’t carry the latest “it” designer bag and I definitely don’t try to see exactly how many clothes I can put on in an attempt to look “chic”. I just love good style. Timeless, simple, classic, cute, style. In fact the whole reason I started this blog was to share my love of style with my family and friends before it snowballed into a bunch of random people I don’t know. (Hi, I’m glad you’re here). You noticed that I didn’t say to share “my style”. That’s because I don’t consider myself some sort of style visionary (I know, you’re shocked). I’m just a normal girl trying to look cute, trying to put together outfits and trying to stay trendy but timeless.

Fall Outfit Inspiration: Mixing Patterns

Which brings me to the topic of mixing prints. If you pay any attention to Street Style at NYFW then you will see your fair share of print mixing. It can look all together foolish or super-chic, depending who you ask. When done well, print mixing can add dimension and interest to an outfit and make you look incredibly more stylish than you are. When done poorly it can make you look like you got dressed in the dark…at a clown’s house. Have I peaked your interest? If you’re ready to try your hand at mixing prints but want to play it safe then follow my lead and mix a black & white top with a colorful clutch. Your best bet is black and white patterned style like this blouse courtesy of Roller Rabbit paired with a colorful clutch. My favorite combinations are polka dots and geometric patterns or stripes and florals.

Hey girl! Can you do a piece on Church dresses/outfits? I have the hardest time finding suitable pretty pieces for Sunday morning.
    Thanks & Go Tigers!
