We are in full-swing planning mode for our garden area and there’s something so invigorating about turning a blank section of our yard into a vibrant, purposeful space. I’m beyond excited to share our plans for transforming a section of our property into a thriving vegetable garden and a dreamy cutting garden, all seamlessly woven into a natural landscape. My goal is to create a space that feels like an extension of nature, with soft, muted colors, whites, purples, and delicate blush tones.
To blend our garden effortlessly with the surrounding landscape, I’ve enlisted the help of Carmen Johnson and Bespoke Garden Plans. They have masterfully chosen a mix of trees, shrubs, and ground covers that provide year-round interest and an organic feel that I’m desiring. They thought of everything throughout all four seasons and I cannot wait to see it come to life. The branches of the Autumn Brilliance Apple Serviceberry will add seasonal blooms and bright berries, while the ever-present greenery of the Bracken’s Beauty Southern Magnolia brings a classic, timeless look. I also can’t WAIT for all the cuttings I will have for the indoors, especially the magnolia at Christmastime.
With the help of Bespoke Garden Plans thoughtful plant selection and design, I can’t wait to watch this space grow into a garden oasis that I’m envisioning. We’re planning on incorporating a TON of ferns because we love the feathery texture they provide. I think they are going to look amazing paired with multiple species of Hydrangeas and Fringe Flower.
