Excellence Punta Cana

The Excellence Punta Cana is an adults-only, 5 star, all-inclusive resort located on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic. Having previously traveled to the Excellence Group’s Playa Mujeres location, we knew to expect a serene and beautiful setting with tons of options for food, drink & fun. After arriving at the Punta Cana International Airport it was a short 40-minute drive and we were in the middle of a tropical oasis. The property is nestled on one of the best resort beaches we have ever been to. The water is clear and clean and you can stroll the coast for hours. The resort itself has two enormous pools that cover the grounds and there are nine restaurants with every form of cuisine you could want, a beach grill, ten bars and a world-class spa and fitness center.

One of the things we loved most about this resort was its laid back tropical atmosphere and opportunities for fun and leisure at every turn. There are a variety of beach, land and water activities, including snorkeling, introductory scuba lessons, horseback riding, water aerobics, yoga, beach volleyball, tennis courts, basketball courts, squash, bicycles, table tennis, darts, board games, and archery. If you are the type of vacationer that wants to lay around 24-7 then you would love the huge beach and sprawling pools – we never had an issue finding a spot to take in the day.

My Honest Review of Excellence Punta Cana

While the facilities are not as new as the location in Playa Murejes, the atmosphere, staff, and gorgeous beach add to the charm of this colonial-style property. If you love a relaxed vibe to your tropical vacations then you should definitely add this to your must-visit vacation list.
