Our girls are officially at the age that they will come and crawl into the bed with us in the mornings to snuggle. It is so precious and it lasts for all of 2.5 minutes until they realize they are hungry or thirsty at which point they ask you repeatedly to get out of the bed and feed them. Like tiny, starving robots. This Mother’s Day all I really want is for someone else (Zach) to secretly and quietly get them up and fill their bellies with a low-sugar food to somehow keep them sleepy enough to creep into our room and snuggle. No getting up at 6:30am. No sibling fights. No wrestling my children into the car & trying to make them mind over a fancy brunch. And absolutely no whining.
