I love the excitement of back to school almost, if not more, than my girls do! There is just something about buying new school supplies and getting organized for the school year that puts a pep in my step. I know that in a few short weeks I will be drowning in to-dos, lunches, and dragging kids out of bed, but for now I can’t help but think we will live in a permanent state of back to school efficiency. I’ve got the family calendar ready, the backpacks purchased and am waiting on go for our school supply lists.
Speaking of supply lists, scroll to the bottom of this post to randomly help a few teachers out if you are able! I would be so grateful if we could help bless some of these teachers as they start a new year!

If you are looking for bookbags, you need to check out Pottery Barn Teen. I don’t know why I assumed that the only backpacks for kids were at Pottery Barn Kids, but the Teen selection is so great!! My friend mentioned it’s where she got her girls from and how there were so many more to chose from and she was so right! Scottie was especially excited that her lunchbox has a strap. Apparently crossbody lunchboxes are all the rage these days.
First Day Teacher Gift Ideas
If you want to take your teacher a little something on the first day of school here are a few cute ideas. I usually sent a card and an Amazon gift card for supplies she might need but I think it would be fun to let the girls pick some things out and put together a little gift basket!

I LOVE going school supply shopping with the girls. We usually make a trip and then just order everything we couldn’t find. Hi! I know the giveaway is over but I wanted to let you know I sent items to the four teachers on the list from my state. I’m not telling you so I can get a box, I just wanted you to know more teachers are receiving items for their classrooms. We live in Alabama and a lot of our schools are failing. 29 of the 75 failing schools for the 2020/21 school year in our state were from my city alone. We are enormously blessed to be able to send our children to an incredible private school but the majority of the families in this city aren’t able to afford it. All of that to say thank you for what you are doing for the teachers in this country. It is, without a doubt a blessing.
