Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla
A beautiful, modern Caribbean resort that works just as well for families as it does for couples.
Four Seasons Anguilla is one of those resorts that immediately feels special when you arrive. The architecture is stunning, the views over Meads Bay are incredible, and everything feels sleek and thoughtfully designed.
We went when our baby still needed two naps a day, and it ended up being a perfect trip with little kids. We had a room right off the main pool, which made it easy to pop back and forth during the day without disrupting the rhythm of the trip. The resort is big, but it still feels relaxed and easy — and there’s plenty to do both on property and around the island.
Below are my honest notes on what it’s actually like staying there as a family with small kids.

What You’ll Love
The rooms, property, and spa are exceptional
This is one of the most beautiful Four Seasons properties I’ve seen. The design is modern and polished, and everything feels fresh and luxurious. The rooms are spacious and gorgeous, many with sweeping ocean views. The spa is equally impressive — calm, beautifully designed, and very much a destination in itself. It’s the kind of resort that works just as well for a couples trip as it does for families.
The pool scene and activities are fantastic
The pool setup at the resort is actually much bigger than it first appears. There are two large main pools, both overlooking the ocean, and they each have a slightly different vibe. One pool has beautiful cabanas, which makes it a great place to settle in for the day. The views out over Meads Bay are incredible, and it’s easy to spend hours there.
Beyond the pools, the resort offers a surprising number of activities, which was great with kids. During our stay we played tennis, the girls went rock climbing, they took a painting class, and there were always other activities happening around the property.
It’s one of those resorts where you can easily fill your day with things to do, or just relax by the pool and enjoy the view.
The adults-only pool is spectacular
Even though we were traveling with kids, the adults-only pool immediately made me want to come back for a couples trip. It’s quieter, beautifully designed infinity pool and feels like a totally different experience from the main pool.
Sunset Lounge is the perfect evening spot
One of our favorite parts of the trip was spending evenings at Sunset Lounge. There’s a beautiful lawn beside the restaurant where kids can run around, make smores over fire pits and play while adults relax with drinks and food.
They have light Asian dishes and sushi, happy hour and live music on certain nights (usually around 8–11pm). It’s also known for having one of the best sunset views on the island, and it’s one of those places where you could easily end up every evening.
The boutiques are amazing
The resort boutiques are surprisingly great — not the typical resort shops. They carry beautiful, high-end clothing and accessories, and it’s very easy to find something you actually want to wear.

Restaurants We Tried
Anguilla is known for its food, so it’s worth leaving the resort for dinner a few nights.
Malliouhana Restaurant // Located at the historic Malliouhana resort, this restaurant has gorgeous views and a refined Caribbean menu. It’s a beautiful spot for a special dinner.
Salt // The main restaurant at the resort. A polished setting with excellent seafood and well-executed dishes.
Blanchards Restaurant // One of the most famous restaurants on the island and for good reason. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is lively.
Celeste by Kerth Gumbs // A more modern dining experience that blends Caribbean ingredients with European technique. Definitely worth trying.
What to Know Before You Book
Weather can affect the beach experience
Meads Bay is beautiful, but during our trip it was unseasonably windy, so we didn’t spend as much time in the ocean as we expected. The view from the pool overlooking the water is still spectacular, though.
Sandy Island isn’t worth the hype (in my opinion)
We took a boat over to Sandy Island because it’s often recommended as a must-do lunch excursion, but we found it crowded and underwhelming. The food was just okay, the wait times were long and the travel was a bit of a pain. We would have much rather spent an additional day at the resort.
Personally, I would skip it and spend the day somewhere else.
Do a private catamaran charter
This was one of the highlights of the trip and something I would absolutely recommend. A private catamaran day lets you explore different parts of the island, swim, snorkel, and relax without the crowds. It is a MUST!

The Bottom Line
Four Seasons Anguilla is one of the most beautiful and well-designed resorts in the Caribbean. The rooms, spa, pools, and overall property are exceptional. It’s a fantastic trip whether you’re traveling with kids, with friends or on a couples getaway. Between the gorgeous setting, great restaurants on the island, and plenty of activities, it’s easy to see why so many people fall in love with Anguilla.
I would absolutely go back — next time maybe without kids so we can spend more time at that adults-only pool.
