There are so many things to love about this traditional and more formal fall tablescape, and if this table doesn’t scream fall, then I don’t know what does! I teamed up with my friend Mary of Mrs. Southern Social to create this Thanksgiving tablescape and I’m honestly swooning over the colors. Mary owns Please Be Seated Rentals and is so very talented. We liked the idea of creating one table that would feel warm and inviting, and that you might expect to see at Thanksgiving with family and friends. However, this table also offers many layers of wonderful items that can be restyled and used throughout the fall season.
The colors we selected are inspired by the Table Throw we found at Pottery Barn. This throw is a great alternative to a traditional tablecloth. It doesn’t cover the entire table, so that you can show off your table underneath, while still adding in a layer of color and protection. For a centerpiece, we used Wooden-Finish Faux Pumpkins from Michael’s and Caramel-Colored Taper Candles from At Home, but the true stars of the table are the stunning floral arrangements by White Blooms Floral. We are both huge advocates of ordering flowers for special occasions (like entertaining on major holidays), as it takes pressure off of trying to make something yourself and assures you will end up with something beautiful.
As for the place settings, we used the same Wood-Handle Flatware from Home Depot that we also used on our “Neutral Table” (to show its versatility). The Harvest Pumpkin Salad Plates are from William Sonoma, but the dinner plates, charger plates and glassware area all rental pieces from Please Be Seated. Once again, this shows you that you don’t have to purchase all new pieces for every holiday, but rather select a few new items to keep while using rentals for everything else. Plus, you don’t have to store or clean rental pieces!
Now onto the details. Once again, the Preppy Stitch created the most beautiful Custom Monogrammed Linen Napkins to match out table design. She can design just about anything, but we loved this dual-colored leaf motif with a single initial for our formal fall table.
One of the most exciting things about this tablescape is the gorgeous fall paper good suite that was custom designed by Tenn Hens. The menu card, place cards and invitations (not shown here) can all be purchased on their website, so that you too can create the perfect fall tablescape complete with every detail seen here. We want entertaining to be as stress-free as possible but also as beautiful as possible. We hope our sources and custom-creations help you this year as you entertain for your own family and friends!
