As fashion week dwindles down and the style reports start to pop up, I’m either filled with excitement or apprehension. Occasionally there are trend reports filled with colors I would never wear, I’m looking at you mustard yellow, or statement pieces that would never make it to my closet. This year, however, I’m filled with excitement because the fall trend reports are everything I could want and more. This fall will be filled with leather, satin, lace and animal print alongside moody florals, all things plaid and plenty of midi dresses, suit separates and statement sleeves to go around. I am loving the shift to classic, feminine silhouettes, neutral hues and can’t wait to live in midi dresses, animal prints & cinched waist lines.

Today I’m partnering up with Nordstrom to share how I plan on incorporating fall 2019 trends into my wardrobe, starting with a leopard midi dress in a flattering feminine silhouette. This flowy, a-line dress is such a wearable piece and one that you can pull off now or as the temps start to cool. I’ve paired it with a neutral bag and my favorite suede booties for a pre-fall look that can take you from work to date night with ease. I would also pair this same dress with a neutral belt and chunky cardigan, or layer a sweater over it like I did with this skirt and sweater combo, also from Nordstrom.
Honestly, I think a leopard print midi is the most on-brand thing I could ever choose to wear. I can’t think of any one clothing item that feels more “me”! There are several styles at Nordstrom that I absolutely love, like this long sleeve beauty, this short sleeve, mock neck style, this shirtdress, and this casual, more summery, frock. Ultimately, though, I had to go with this dress for the feminine details and the warm, neutral colors incorporated in the print. It checks all my boxes, and I’ll be wearing it all season long!

Trying new trends can be a daunting task, but Nordstrom makes it easy with their free two-day shipping and free returns. I personally find these features incredibly convenient since I (sadly) don’t live in an area where there’s a Nordstrom store. If you are, however, lucky enough to share a city with the mecca of department stores, you can use the oh-so convenient Buy & Pick Up feature to pick up your order in store the very same day you place it. And as if Nordstrom hasn’t already made our lives as easy as possible, they’ve also added complimentary curbside pickup for Nordy Club members. That’s right, someone will literally walk your order out to your car if you request it. Insanity.

Here are a few more styles that I’m loving for Fall 2019! I’m hoarding all the neutral, chunky knits this fall, like this mock neck sweater from Topshop and this luxurious cashmere style. I’m pairing sweaters like these with high waisted denim and all the animal print accessories, like these feminine heels or these more casual mules. You also can never go wrong with a good neutral bootie. They are beautiful in person, but you’ll need to size up because they run a little small!
Which fall trends are you planning to try this fall? Animal print everything? New neutrals? Moody florals? Let me know in the comments below!
