With Amazon it’s either the best of days or the worst of days. Well, at least with buying clothes from Amazon that is. You can hit the jackpot or you can absolutely strike out! I recently ordered a slew of items to try on for this month’s Amazon haul and all but three were total busts. I only share items I really love on here so for this month’s haul I’m going to share those three finds, some tips for shopping on Amazon and what is in my cart for next month’s haul.

October Amazon Finds
Drumroll please. I ordered 14 items that I just KNEW were going to be great finds and I struck out left and right when trying them on. Some were too small, some were too frumpy and for a few of them the quality was absolutely trash. I did find three items that I kept. Side note, I realize it’s ironic that next I’m going to give you tips on how to shop on Amazon. Do as I stay and not as I do.
STRIPED J.CREW SWEATER – J.Crew Mercantile is on Amazon now and I snagged this cute sweater with ruffle detailing. I got a medium which is typical of me and sweaters. I typically wear smalls in tees but will always need a medium in something warm and fitted.
LOUNGE PANTS – These yoga pants were a risk but I’m happy to report that they are awesome! I really like the high waist and the fact that they fit over my rear and thighs. Th at is not typical for yoga pants, people. Not typical at all. I ordered a medium! The whole reason I found these pants were because I have a few tees from the brand, icyzone. More on that later!
CAMO CREWNECK SWEATER – This sweater is another J.Crew Mercantile find that I bought for fall layering. It’s thin enough to wear over a button up and I would definitely size up one, or maybe two sizes, since it’s 100% cotton.
How to Find Clothes on Amazon
The first rule of shopping on Amazon is to sign up for Prime! Often times I sort my finds only by what is available on Prime which helps me know that I will be able to get the fastest shipping available. There is absolutely nothing worst than finding a cute item for a great price and seeing that it will be delivered from China in the year 2037.
The second tip for shopping on Amazon is to search for brands you know! I always buy Quay sunnies on Amazon, search through Amazon’s Shopbop section and stalk Sam Edelman shoes like it’s my job. Some of my favorites brands like BB Dakota, J.O.A.?and WAYF?are on Amazon and I love to stalk items from high-end brands like Parker, Mara Hoffman, Joie just incase they go on sale.
When you are looking to branch out from brands you know and find those rare Amazon deals it’s important to shop via word of mouth. I ask my girlfriends if they have found anything the like, search Pinterest non-stop and follow other blogger’s who I trust to see what they are buying and loving. Personally I save all of my favorite finds to my Amazon Shop and I know other bloggers do that as well. The biggest tip I can give is that in the event you find a random no-name item that works, like this cute yellow dress I love, then make sure to favorite that brand’s shop! Chances are you will find something else you like from them!
In My Cart Next
For next month’s haul I’m going to try this black v-neck, this skirt, this long sleeve tunic, this sweater, these boots, these sneakers, this pullover sweater and maybe some of this workout gear. Stay tuned to see if any of it fits! Until then I’ll be scurrying off to UPS to return a crap load of boxes to Amazon.
Such a great post on how you shop on amazon!
