Have you decided what you are going to get your mom for Mother’s Day? Or better yet, have you decided what you are going to buy yourself as a gift from your husband and children? May is fast approaching so today I’m going to help you with some Mother’s Day gift ideas. Moms only want two things for Mother’s Day. Quality time & something thoughtful. If the mom has children that are independent and out of the house then that quality time will most likely be some sort of family activity where her children actually talk to her and tell her about their days. If the mom has babies and/or toddlers in the house that quality time looks a little more like hanging out one-on-one with a complete stranger who may or may not be rubbing their feet and painting their toenails. So as we plan out your attack on Mother’s Day gift ideas for 2018, you handle scheduling the quality time & I’ll help you with the gift. Deal?

I tried it out step by step to see if it was really that easy. Spoiler alert, it was. First, I uploaded an image of the girls from my computer and this instagram photo to the Framebridge site . I also selected that I wanted a custom framed option for one of the girl’s art projects. I chose to use their designer services and get a recommendation for the best types of frames for this since this entire process was new to me. It was so easy! I filled out a short survey and they emailed me several frames to choose from. I ended up choosing all-white frames because I want to start collecting them for a gallery wall in the playroom at our new house. Side note, Framebridge also offers up gallery wall consultation, tips on creating a gallery wall and even tips on hanging your art.

Framebridge’s website is extremely informative and easy to navigate and they frame everything from instagram photos to diplomas to jerseys. Baby announcements? Yep. Guitar picks? You bet. Buttons & flags & original art, yep that too! In fact this process was so easy that I’m going to be placing an order to get Zach’s old jerseys & the girl’s baby announcements framed asap. You know what else is terrible? I don’t have a single photo from our wedding actually printed and framed. I probably should fix that one as well.
I wanted to get photos of the frames coming out of the box because they are so professionally wrapped but all I managed to do with toddlers was get frames of the pretty box. When we were taking these photos, Hayden was having a meltdown up in a tree and Scottie was freezing. I ended up unwrapping the frames while my photographer helped Hayden out of the tree (right after she snapped a photo). I mean thank goodness that at least framing your art is simple in this life with toddlers. When I opened this box both of the small frames were inside, wrapped securely in bubble wrap and suspended in the middle with cardboard framing. Scottie even dropped one and it was wrapped up so good that nothing happened. They would be so easy to take out of the box and include with a few other gifts without fear of them breaking!
This was such a fun project to work on and I hope that it helped give you some great Mother’s Day gift ideas. I have noticed Framebridge while scrolling through instagram and pinterest but now that I’ve tried it first hand I’m incredibly impressed with their beautiful and high quality products as with their simple online ordering process. I’m actually excited to knock out a few more projects I’ve been putting off because I feel like they’ve taken all of the overwhelming aspects of framed art away. For my next project, other than the keepsakes I mentioned above, I want to make a symmetrical gallery wall of candid shots for behind my breakfast nook in the apartment. What do you think? Black and white prints in pewter metallic frames? I’m thinking it’s a winner.?
